They already splintered India among caste and religious lines and not to mention Nehru in his paranoia of Military dictatorship almost destroyed the army. Nehru Dynasty is happy as long as people remain poor and divided alone caste lines. As long as the the "Roti kapada aur Makan" nonsense can be used to gain votes they are happy. Narasimharao brought that change and ever since Indians had the opportunity go grow beyond the Rote kapada aur makan congress vote share in India has declined consistently. It can grow at double digits if the states are given the opportunity. BIhar grew at 15% during the joint BJP-JDU rule. Their growth rate only decreased after their friction with the NDA and when Nitish started focusing on politics rather than governing.

Exactly they want to maintain the so called Hindu rate of growth so they can continue to rule us & enrich themselves

If I'm not wrong, congress has won 6 out of 15 general elections with clear majority, excluding the 4 times it formed govt by coalition. For about 49years congress headed central govt, they managed to keep India afloat at 3.5% growth rate. Now if you're comparing this figure with other countries then let me remind you that every country that touched 10% growth rate in mid and late 1900's, faced some sort of authoritarianism or dictatorship be it China, Korea or Taiwan.

Why do you ignore the fact that when Nehru became the PM of India he had to begin from a scratch?

But this assertion that India should be free from Congress is a sick mentality. There is a need of vocal opposition in every democracy Otherwise people like Lalit Modi or A Raja or Smiriti Irani would continue to pull strings of Power without being exposed.

My point is, at that particular point in history we didn't have better options

They ensured that.There was little to no criticism of the govt.For ex. People who demanded Nehru's resignation post the 1962 war were thrown in jail.
Newspapers and other methods of communication in those days were heavily censored, people like Dharampal and others were constantly forced to change their articles or had their columns outright stopped.

It's like saying China has no better option other than the ccp.

2nd yes I am a admirer of Chinese achievements & power some would use the world lover too.coming to the point my point stands we were ahead of them in the 50s & through their hard work & right polices they have left us behind.
