Also, people keep saying the Tyhpoons in the Italian deal was just to lure the French not to lose the Egyptians to the Germans but really? Are the French really that gullible? No way! They sold us the Mirage 2000's when the first ever export batch came out and they know we have a love affair with Dassault deltas and now the Eurotrash delta we love them it's quite obvious but the French, they're not gonna take that Typhoon deal as a threat.
I say if the budget is there, the Typhoon are most definitely part of this deal with the Brimstones and IRST missiles as well as a decent batch of meteor. Each aircraft can fly with an IRST for short/medium A2A protection and at the same time, throw a pair of Meteors on the back molded indent in the fuselage. My only concern is the number of 200 million euroa for the weapons package each which is not really nearly enough for a good, savage amount of munitions. A single meteor is $2.28 million!? Need to get accurate details. It might be a small number of them to start out with.
Get them and either join forces with the 54 Rafales or better yet IMO, use them the same exact way they've used the Mirage-2000 just like a special ops double squadron on its own for intricate missions. That would be lovely in the Tranch 4.
No, bro, I know the analogy of toys but it degrades the power of the purchase when it's called that. Just think of the damage that can be done with just 30 fully loaded Su-35. Put our entire inventory together and the new IFF and intercom system they created with quick reaction from the two 1,100 km radars which will track over 30 targets each at 600km 24/7/365 combined with our AWACs and ADS as well as out SAM systems and naval as well as air force makes for a great defensive strategy.
I've explained the monetary solution several times you might have missed it but the Egyptian military has not spent a single penny in 35 years while it made over $30 billion in savings. But more importantly is the largest gas findings and extractions in the ME which has been valued at 1.9 Trillion dollars and that buys you a lot of collateral. So French, German, Italian and Russian central banks are offering terms no one can refuse when you have these resources to pay them back with long term deals. Please don't listen to the jealous crap about the GCC funding all this lol. It's way too much and they wouldn't fund for weapons unless it's an emergency during a time or war to help us. But they loaned us money for collateral to get loans from the IMF and save our country after the revolution from falling into a failed state. Muslim brothers help Muslim brothers it's the simple thing but not to buy all these billions of $ of weapons.
