A PLANE crash in Texas has killed every passenger on board with six confirmed dead.

The twin-engine Beech BE58 aircraft crashed into a ravine around 9:00am local time (4:00pm BST) and killed all six passengers on board, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

It departed from the West Houston Airport and crashed in Kerrville.

The plane was scheduled to land at Kerrville Municipal Airport.

Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the plane crashed while preparing to land.

FAA officials said: “The wreckage was located about 6 miles northwest of the airport. According to preliminary information, at least six people were aboard the aircraft.

“The flight had departed earlier this morning from West Houston Airport outside Houston.”

An investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board has been launched.

This is the second fatal small-plane crash in the past two days in the Texas Hill Country.

Two people were killed on Sunday afternoon near the airstrip at the Shirley Williams Airport in Kingsland.

Plane crashes into PRISON – emergency crews rush to scene

22 April 2019 | https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/wo...California-Rehabilitation-Center-fifth-street

A PLANE crashed into a California State Prison facility with plumes of smoke seen for miles around.

A witness of the crash, Susan Fracol, said: “It is heartbreaking. The pilot was a family friend.

“He was a very experienced pilot.”

The small plane was a 75-year-old historic Northrop N9M aircraft.

It was identified as a Flying Wing owned by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino.

According to the museum’s website, the plane was built in 1944 and is considered a forerunner of the B-2 stealth bomber.

Northrop built four prototypes, but there was only one remaining.

Restoration of the aircraft was completed in the 1990s and flight testing in 1996.

It has a top speed of 220mph.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently unknown, Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

Riverside County Sheriff tweeted: “On 4/22/19, at 12:10PM, deputies received reports of an air emergency in the 1900 block of 4th St.

“The circumstances are unknown and the NTSB will be conducting the investigation into the plane crash. No further information is available for release from RSO.”

Authorities say nobody on the ground was hurt.

The pilot, who is male, was the only person on board.

But his condition is not yet known.

It is also understood that he was preparing for an air show.

Television news footage shows debris spread across a scorched patch of empty yard.

An investigation will be launched by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board.

The prison in Riverside County has 3,400 male inmates.

The incident happened on the same day as a plane crash in Texas.

A twin-engine Beech BE58 aircraft crashed into a ravine around 9:00am local time (4:00pm BST) and killed all six passengers on board, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

It departed from the West Houston Airport and crashed in Kerrville.

The plane was scheduled to land at Kerrville Municipal Airport.

19 April 2019 | https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/wo...california-orange-county-twin-engine-aircraft

A PLANE has crashed into the runway at an airport in the United States in a fiery explosion killing the pilot.

Emergency services were called to Fullerton Airport in Orange County, California, to reports a twin-engine aircraft had come down close to the runway.

The pilot has not yet been named.

Police have confirmed the plane, a Beechcraft Duke, crashed during takeoff.

The crash was reported at around 7.50pm Pacific Time (3.50am Friday BST).

Eyewitness Matt Borgelt shared a clip of the fireball on the runway on Twitter, writing: "Looks like an aircraft crashed at Fullerton Airport."

Officials said the plane came down and rolled over on its left-hand side, bursting into flames.

Pictures from US media show fire crews surrounding the charred wreckage of the plane after it was extinguished.

It's thought the plane was heading for Heber Valley, Utah.

The aircraft was around 15 feet off the ground when the crash happened, Fullerton Fire Department said.

California-based journalist Jack Noyes tweeted just after 8pm Pacific Time (4am BST): "A twin-engine plane has caught fire and crashed at or near the Fullerton Airport in Orange County."

Authorities have urged the public to stay away from the airport less than 20 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Ian Gregor, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesman, said the plane had just taken off from Runway 24 when it came down.

The airport is next to two main arterial roads, the 5 and 91 freeways.

There are local television reports that a woman, 50, has been injured on the ground.

She is believed to have been hit by fuselage and has been hospitalised with broken legs and cuts.

Four of those who died worked for the agricultural machinery company Salmones Camanchaca.

It is also confirmed that no one was in the house when it was hit.

Puerto Montt is a port city 1,000kms to the south of the capital Santiago.

The aircraft was owned by the Archipielago company which operates commercial flights in the region.

A statement from Salmones Camanchaca read: “We are awaiting information from the authorities and airline about the cause of the accident which we understand is being investigated.

“As a company and as human beings we are very badly affected and are very saddened over what happened.”
