He can eat that in the state where it is not banned but not where it is banned. In most of the states, it is banned so no question of eating beef as it is not available.

The whole idea of ban based on majority populations' religious beliefs is regressive, what if the Christian majority USA and Europe ban Hindu religious practices, won't that be condemnable? Don't we criticize certain apertheid ME states?

Heavens won't gonna fall if there is meat on the menu too....non-vegetarians are as much uncomfortable with veg diet, that too for four long days, as the vegetarians with non-veg diet. Non-vegetarians are not forcing their food habits on vegetarians, then why should the vegetarians force their food habits on the non-vegetarians? This is nothing but fundamentalism.
