Already? Well congrats, my man. May you both have wonderful marriage !
For me, I'm still 28, still too young to get married. Once I finish my Ph.D, and get into corporate world / or academic field, I'll see about making a family. Right now, professional stability is my #1 concern. On my 3rd academic year for my Ph.D in Industrial & Organizational Psychology Program; just 2 more years to go.![]()
Its 1.3 billion, not 1.4 billion. Don't add 100 million.![]()
You should make a family first, then talk about career, this is old Chinese rule. I think Ph.D is a waste of time, but if you really want to be an scholar, just do it. I feel like your major is a little bit weird, if you go to a company, which position is suitable?
Never knew a PHD in Psychology can land you a 5-6 figure monthly pay job![]()
Ph.D in I/O Psychology leads to position in Talent Acquisition and HR Managment. These positions, especially for those who hold Ph.Ds have attractive salaries in Japan and in the United States. Average Ph.D salary in I/O psychology ranges from $90,000 - $160,000 +.
Family comes after career and financial stability. I don't want to raise a family when I do not have proper means to support it. By the time I am finished my PhD and secure a position in corporate world in either here in US or in Japan (Toyota, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries), then i can have the means to give a good life for my family. I want to make sure my children will be able to get what they want.

lol I was kidding. Sure, get a career first. Is this true? $90,000 - $160,000. If you are a new employee, I'm sure you can't get this high salary...this level of payment at least requires 10+ years working experience and core management administration. Will Toyota provide a new Ph.D this amount payment?
My friend, in Japan, I can start with about (USD equivalent) = $105,000 - $110,000.
My uncle works for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as a senior IE (Industrial Engineer) and earns (USD equivalent) around $250,000.
MUCH BETTER THAN YOUR JUNK COUNTRY.I heard that China has less reputation of international corp, famous brands, ...
Joe Biden even said that China has no invention ability
Damn....holy cow! That's why you go for a Ph.D, anyway, 5 years, worth.
One needs to have a very very patient mind to walk your path . I did my engineering at 22 and got a healthy package straight away . I just could not study anymore . 28 and still studying......... .Already? Well congrats, my man. May you both have wonderful marriage !
