Forbes : To Catch Up With India, Pakistan Needs Modi's Magic

Let's post the links for this as well, so we have more information to work with.
I have already posted the link above. ARWU is perhaps one of the worlds most comprehensive ranking.

Point is not about comparing (Pakistanis hardly compare themselves with Indian, its mostly Indians do, because Pak for the most part of history was a better country), point is about the complacency that's being shown in the thread. Complacency is disastrous no matter who you are or the background you belong.
You know who shows the biggest complacency? Pakistani!

1. We will win the war because we have 'BAALLLZ'. --- What ever that means. You won no wars with any positive consequences and strategic goals. You certainly lost one with a major consequence and one hell of strategic loss
2. We will rise because China is on our side!!!!111oneoneone --- Yeah sure! China will make you prosperous for free! Keep on dreaming fellas!
3. We have Allah on our side! Islam makes us better than Hindus! --- Need I say anything?

That's what I am saying genius...some changes here, a few tweaks there and Pakistan would again start beating India in per capita terms.

Rest of your post sounds annoying and is an attempt to get under the skin so doesn't merit a response.
You know if you are one sixth of a size you should be nimble, with more 'capability' per capita. Remember all the asian tigers of 70s were small and nimble economies? Guess if Pakistan being one sixth of size of India cann't be nimble with her execution then there is something much bigger wrong somewhere. Not just few tweak and band-aid fixes.

Yes a Modi will never happen in Pakistan, because no matter what your propaganda tells you, we'll never select a person responsible for the death of thousands of a minority into power. Our democracy has never and will never put religious extremists in power in Pakistan unlike our eastern neighbor.
Yeah right! Pakistani telling us Indian about treatment of minorities! What percentage of your population is Hindu again? What was it when you partitioned in '47? What happened in '71 with Hindus in erstwhile East Pakistan? What was blood telegram again?

It has always been more nimble than India, only in past two decades since becoming the center of global struggles is when the things went south. If your country had faced that situation, it would have been ruined too. If Pakistan was some Island country far away from this region, it would've been developed by now.

Dude anyone bringing up this stupid logic is either just that or a bigot. It is simple, Muslims of India migrated to Pakistan and Hindus of Pakistan migrated to India. Now Pakistan is not large enough that all the Muslims of sub-continent can live in its two wings, India is large enough that Hindus of Pakistan can easily be absorbed. You just have use simple logic to see the change in the demographics.

It was a civil war, both Muslims and Hindus, Bengalis and non-Bengalis died. Hindus were not a special case.

Agreed with you.
Only if our country was not in the middle of Global agendas and Superpower interests, Pakistan would have been developed by now.

Doesn't change the fact that Pakistan has less poverty in percentage and in numbers than India has.

Rise of Fascist Hindus in India is just what Pakistan needed!

Ok, so you have one university showing up there from 1.3 billion people. It's sort of like saying, 1.3 billion people can produce a single medal at olympics while 200 million can produce 0. LOL. If you had significantly more then you'd have a point, but having 1 university given your population is no achievement and definitely not something you get brownie points for on a forum.

And how may you have? BTW have you checked the history of ranking?

I just explained my argument to you. Your country only has 1 university despite having 1.3 billion population. If you had 200 million or so people, or had 4-6 universities (or more) with your current population then you'd have a point. History doesn't matter, that means you have regressed.

You see, major research institutes have a pathbreaking effect. Its not the number per capita counts, its the having one good research institute which matter. To put it simply, you need one needle to prick the balloon. So, you have still to tell me where is Pakistan's entry in top 100, 200 or 300?

BTW, we have not regressed. Others, especially China have become much better. There is a difference between two.
