A military source confirmed that Al-Wattia Air Force Base, west of Libya, was subjected to air strikes on Saturday evening, launched by unknown fighters.

Warplanes launched at low altitude on the city of Gharyan and headed towards the base to hear the sound of 3 powerful explosions in the middle of the base.

It is noteworthy that this is the second time that "unknown" planes have carried out a raid on the Al-Watiyah base since the Libyan army exited them last April.

The bombing comes hours after the installation of new Turkish systems..

A military source confirmed that Al-Wattia Air Force Base, west of Libya, was subjected to air strikes on Saturday evening, launched by unknown fighters.

Gharyan security officer Mahmoud al-Sharid said that a warplane had flown at low altitude to Gharyan city and headed towards the base to hear the sound of 3 powerful explosions in the middle of the base.

Al-Shard said in a statement to "Erm News" that the raids targeted an al-Qaeda weapons and ammunition storehouse, indicating that "23" ground anti-aircraft were launched from armed detachments that were present to secure the base to respond to the aerial bombardment.

Al Sharid indicated that the launch of the anti-aircraft did not prevent the aircraft from repeating the bombing again, noting that based on information received from a source in the base, the bombing targeted warehouses containing new weapons, ammunition and equipment recently arrived from Turkey, in addition to an operations room that was completed two days ago.

It should be noted that this is the second time that "unknown" planes have carried out a raid on Al-Wattia base since the Libyan army exited it last April.

Libyan sources revealed at dawn today, that unknown military aircrafts bombed the Al-Watiya base for the second time, which resulted in the destruction of Turkish defense systems installed yesterday.

According to the sources, the unknown aircrafts intensified the strikes on the Al-Watiya base in order to destroy the Turkish defense systems that were transported for the second time and were installed on Friday with the aim of using them in the battle of Sirte and Al-Jafra.

Libyan sources said that they witnessed the unidentified warplanes targeting the Al-Watiyah base, amid reports of Turkish fatalities assigned to equip the air defense systems and supervise their operation.

In addition, the Libyan National Army did not issue any official statements, so far, that its air force had carried out the operation.

The bombing is the second time of its kind for the Al-Wattia air base, with the aim of thwarting the ability of Turkish air defense systems that are being transported to the militia of the National Accord Government.

On the other hand, the Director of Moral Guidance in the Libyan National Army, Brigadier Khaled Al Mahjoub, said that the Fayez al-Sarraj government and militias cannot continue in Tripoli without Turkish protection.

Brigadier Al-Mahjoub said that Al-Sarraj went to Istanbul to take instructions from the Turkish president, adding that all agreements between the Al-Wefaq government and Turkey lacked legitimacy.

He explained that the mercenaries are sending more reinforcements to the Sirte and Al-Jafra fronts, under Turkish supervision, stressing that the Libyan National Army is ready to repel any attack by militias and mercenaries supported by Turkey.

He pointed out in an interview with "Sky News Arabia" that Turkey continues to transport mercenaries to Libya via its cargo planes, which was confirmed by a number of international reports, during recent times.

I guess Egypt did that...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::pop::pop: waiting for shorty to hit the airwaves...:coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:

Most probably France.
I think it is Egypt with her Mig 21...

Algeria did it, try to believe the joke he's trynna imply :sarcastic::sarcastic::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:
Algeria can...But Egypt can't...That is not flying in parade, that needs skills and jets capable to do that..Frankly, Egypt doesn't possesses for the time being those capabilities...and Egyptian pilotes needs a lot of time in the air, not the Mig 21...and it shows you lost 2 mig 29 and 2 rafales just last year..

:omghaha::omghaha:

Egypt does not currently have Mig 21, may be it gave all of them to Haftar and even gave the Mirage 5 Horus to other nations. Algeria is the one that is still operating SU24, Mig25 and such crap :sarcastic::sarcastic: We can give some of our Mig21, Mirage 5 & F-4 Phantoms to the Algerian air force in order to support its small obsolete fleet and be able even to compare themselves to their Moroccan neighbour :sarcastic:

Actually the Russian fleets in the EAF only is far better than your entire air force :omghaha::omghaha: Leave Rafales and every other thing. Your entire air force does not match to our Russian squadrons only not to mention any other kinda fighter jets :sarcastic:

Imagine who is speaking? an Algerian with an air force that consists only of 40-50 SU30, 22 SU24, 13 Mig25 and 32 third hand obsolete used Mig29 that were taken from Belarus and Ukraine :omghaha: an entire force that has less than 100 jets, all of them are obsolete from the 60th, and you consider yourselves a superpower :omghaha: what a joke :omghaha:

Really great pilots you have, unfortunately they are only accustomed to your obsolete fighters :omghaha:

Not to mention the obsolete Mig29 jets that were crashed during their sole training flights on international scale with the Belgian F-16s that's why they have never tried to conduct such exercises again to avoid destroying their entire air force lol.

Another Mig 25 lol :omghaha:

Algiers: An Algerian air force MiG-25 fighter jet crashed on a training exercise late Tuesday but the pilot ejected safely, the defence ministry said.

The plane came down in the Hassi Bahbah area, 200 kilometres (125 miles) south of Algiers without causing any damage on the ground, the ministry said.

The area lies in the arid High Plateaus that stretch across Algeria from west to east between its two main mountain ranges.

You neither have pilots nor equipment. You're an Algerian in a military forum and that's why no one is giving you a sh*it. You're just intruding your nose to beg attention just like what's the majority of your people known of. Attention w*hores :omghaha::omghaha:

all that bla bla...
just compare the video,s of the Algerian war games with the Egyptian one, and you will make your own conclusion

For our plane losses, it is normal ...with the number of hours Algerian pilots log..If yours fly that much, I doubt you will have an aircraft left..hell you just lost two brand new migs and two rafales in just few month..and you compare the EAF to AAF ..you must be delusional like your peers.
One of your C130 flew ta Pakistan, several pages where written about..I guess that was a monumental success to the EA .

SU 24 are long range bombers, can fly at 50 feet above the ground equipped with terrain following radar, recently upgraded , can fly another 20 years...There is nothing comparable in the EAF

It wasn't a Mig 25, it was an SU24 flying less than 50 feet above the ground in a night training mission...wonder if high publicised EAF can manage that..
quit your bullshit while you are ahead...

The same sources who have been reliable before say 3 Al Wefaq recon vehicles were destroyed near Sirte..and 3 Turkish tanks were destroyed near Weshka area Ouest of Sirte..

..What a comedy!
An Egyptian BS source...Bring us something more credible..First it was a Saudi site that try to make the Egyptian Air force more than what she is, followed by an Emirati..and Know an Egyptian.....Give it a rest. It is not Egypt , It is not the EAU...
