Yes, I guess I would have done the same (smuggling) if I were born in the border areas. Actually I will take the poor smuggler's side. When u have nothing and family to feed, he can be pardon if he steals, in this case smuggling. Omar (r) pardoned a thief because he had nothing. But if u are rich and steals like Bangladeshi politicians, then appropriate measure should be taken.

Omar whoever he is can pardon the thief and bangla can do the same thing because it is Islamic country.But India is not a Islamic country and here the smuggler will be shot, whether poor or not.

I am as Anti BAL as they come, BAL`s reaction on the border incidicent kept the bangladeshi citizens a lot to be desired with statements from their top politcians that these are a regular thing in the border. But, fact of the matter is both BAL and BNP needs the backing of India to come to power. You sound like Syed Asharul Islam. BNP came to power in 1991 and 2001 without Indian assistance. AL is always the preference of India. When your enemy is stronger than you build alliances against the common enemy. It seems you would prefer that Indians continue to treat us like animals. Because at the end of the day people has thrown out Awami league in the trash can history. But india will stick with Awami staooges as long there is no other place to go. Good job BSF Beedis deserve this. they ought to be kept under the boots.

Pathetic thinking.Action should be taken against BSF soldiers guilty of committing torture. There are just too many cases to ignore. I am not being pro bangladesh here and i personally dislike many of the BD posters on the forum , but what's wrong is wrong . Instead of feeling happy about this , why don't you ask the BSF to show some real balls and shoot chinese soldiers carrying out incursions inside indian territory. Now that would be a good job. Torturing a country's civilians just because that country is weak and can't stand up to you is just sad and anything but cool

I recall a BSF incursion into Bangladesh in 2001. As a result 400 BSF were killed in the fighting. India is no great respecter of international boundaries.
