Pakistan’s former military ruler Pervez Musharraf’s open acknowledgment of his country’s support to terror groups and terming terrorists like Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi,Osama bin Laden and Jalaluddin Haqqani as heroes was termed as acceptance of truth by the government.

When asked about Musharraf’s statement, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval said: “Jaise hero honge, waise hi log honge” (people will always be like their heroes).

During an interview to Duniya TV, Musharraf termed Jama’at-ud-Da’wah chief and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s patron Hafiz Saeed and Lashkar’s operational chief Lakhvi as Pakistani heroes during their alleged freedom struggle in Kashmir and who later turned into villain.

But Musharraf refused to comment as to whether action should be taken against Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi.

Union urban affairs minister M Venkaiah Naidu said, “For a change he spoke the truth... If they at all are really interested in fighting terror, sometimes they should also raise voice...They should really make these people available to India because they have committed heinous crimes here.”

Naidu further added that Musharraf himself has made very clear that they have given support to Dawood Ibrahim and given shelter earlier, “Pakistan understands responsibility and should hand over Dawood and other people who all are required in India.”

Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit did not respond on Musharraf’s interview and said: “I will talk about these issues later.”

BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma said Pakistan has been exposed after the revelations and the party’s stand towards Pakistan also stood vindicated. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said after Musharraf’s statement it is clear that Pakistan is the home of terrorism.

@ranjeet bhai, sorry for your thread getting deleted.Anyway here is the gist of the two lettrs which were written in Bengali-
The Hindu families of Kangla Pahari who are around 300 in numbers in the past didn't have the required money to celebrate Durga Puja in the village and hence had to go around 4-5Kms to celebrate Durga Puja in the neighboring village. But now they have resolved to celebrate the Durga Puja in their village through the formation of a Hindu Committee consisting of 25 persons and a person has even granted the required land for making the puja pandal. Now they are appealing to the Block authority to grant them the required permission to celebrate Durga Puja in their village.
In reply the Block authority has stated that permission can't be granted this year for any new Durga Puja.So they have to apply fresh next year for getting permission.
P.S.-I think the B.D.O. has something to do with this.I have heard a story of a B.D.O. from South Dinajpur district who didn't allow the block community to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja just because he was a from a different community and hence didn't bother to celebrate the festivals of the so called "infidels":coffee:
