Flying Into Dhaka- First Impressions of Bangladesh

First of all this was a very small view of a teeming city. The roads and markets look like any other city in South Asia, no footpaths, no structure, haphazard planning, lots of rubbish, wiring running overhead blotting the sky. The river was silty and busy but no different from the others. So my impression was that this was a cool city, with lots of potential especially around the water front. The people were friendly and hospitable and though there was not much to see, I think he should have got a guide and then that would have been a different view. The Airport looks like a decent, clean airport and better than the current airport in Isl.

Secondly, the response to the OP was in very poor taste and she did not deserve to be treated this way. As Muslims we learn from our heroes like Saladin and treat people and esp women and children with chivalry and respect. I think the responders should man-up and apologise.

Oh please, don't feel sorry for her. She always asking around for this kind of treatment...:disagree:

Indians consider themselves men, but cannot even protect their own women. Such 'men' are considered soft and worthy of spitting upon.
Indians also consider themselves as suppa pawwa since 2012.

LOL

Check out their airport!
Yep. Airport is the crappiest I have been in besides Bahrain.

Well fly Dubai... doesn't allow to carry a handbag weighing more than a laptop and no in flight meals I've heard. Pretty much the same tier as BIMAN.

Amount of human carts is astonishing, considering this is their capital and richest city; wonder how other regions in Bangladesh would be.
nit the richest city. The worst.

What is Bangladesh's richest city?

@Hasan89 If you are so thick skinned why not just ignore her harmless banter,,,,,you see both Indian and Pakistani folks have a common problem, Illegal immigrants from Bangla, if your countrymen wish to apply for asylum the legal way, then no problem we will look at each and every application on it's merits, however when it comes to breaking the law, illegals must be and will be dealt with most sternly.

@Śakra Go easy on them, too many sensitive souls.Kudos;)

Only a muppet would think that poor countries like Pakistan and India would hold any attraction for BD Muslims.

1. Pakistan has terrorism issues.
2. India is full of Hindu bigots.

Grow your economy form it's current low 3% GDP/capita growth to something like 10% for 2 decades and then some BD Muslims may want to go to Pakistan.

I don't understand why we human need to make fun of other or pity on some other people problem. Does someone living in a rich nation or better place(depends on how one perceive) give license to look upon people who are unprivileged.
Every nation is different and we should try to enjoy the differences rather than try to make fun of other.
Even in india many areas in cities are like ghettos, so what.
