yepThis image is viral on twitter, with the claim that UK relief material is being sold in Sindh. A PMLN account has claimed that this image is not from Pakistan & was first uploaded from India in 2014. Let's look into these two controversial claims & try to find the truth:——

As expected, Geo copied this thread verbatim and ran a package about it, implying that photo was taken in India. Imagine Pakistan's biggest media house has no in-house team to verify open source data.

You can see Shehbaz Banaspati Ghee on the shelf in the shop. Shehbaz Ghee is a Pakistani brand. To claim that this image is from India is false - unless its manufacturers have been exporting it to India, & that too with Urdu branding...

PMLN account says "this picture was taken in 2014 from SONY ILCE-6000 in India." When you upload a photo on Twitter, twitter makes EXIF data unavailable for the those viewing it. Hence, this claim is false.

While we don't know if this image is from recent floods, but what we know for sure is that this is from Pakistan. This picture, as claimed by Wahid Zia and Geo News, is from Pakistan and is not from India.
A facebook user is owning the picture. All it takes for a channel is to send a reporter to this address to verify his claim. Instead, Geo News decided to go on air with a random thread and amplified the disinformation.

Final word: This photo is from Pakistan. However, claim that this photo is from recent floods is not verifyable, so far. I like when people use data to debunk disinformation, but what to do when people pretend to use data to spread further disinformation? this is tragic.
