Some more details emerges. Service ceiling raised to 18000 meter, G limit raised to 9, MTOW raised to 15000 kg from 13500 kg. With low weignt and 60 kn/98 kn thrust engine with 6000 kg empty weight, this plane will have exceptionally high T/W ratio and aneuverability and very high cceleration. In 2020, you will see a performance much better than BAharine and very difficult to match by any other aircraft in the class.

When I talked about 62.5 kn new engine, it is Mk2. for Mk1, we have a plan to reduce the weight bellow 6 tons and aerodynamic improvements. mK2 shall be a long plane by 0.5m with a significantly higher range.

Infact, i would like Ej 230 engine to be put in Tejas Mk2. 72 KN dry thrust and 108 KN wet thrust 3d thrust victor engine in a 6000 KG plane shall make wonder. That will make this plane invincible with exceptionally high T/W ratio and make it capable to carry the weight greater than the weight of the plane. We can make wonders like we did in LCH with low weight high thrust engine combo. LCH with its new 1700+ HP engine will simply be unmatched machine in its category and a nightmare for enemy in mountain warfare. It is coupled with Indo Israeli avionics and EW will make it a super weapon like Brahmos or LRSAM. AESA , Advance EW (Indo israeli or a derivative of Spectra) combined with low weight and high thrust engine with composite structure and small size will make Tejas a super weapon not possible to counter by any of india's potential rival and it can mess with anything 4.5 generation anywhere. None of chinese plane will able to counter it. It will be a weapon which will scare our enemy like Indian warships, brahmos and LRSAM. It will be a headache for India’s rival how to counter this small plane with more than MMRCA capabilities
