At the House, 320 of the 435 voting members rejected the amendment, proposed by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, to stop American funding to Pakistan. Mr Rohrabacher still managed to get the support of 92 members, although he did not have a co-sponsor.

Is the $65 M Silver lining good enough to ease the pain? There are 900 Million reasons that say that the efforts by Rohrabacher were not good enough.

He supports breakup of Pakistan and making Balochistan a new country which would please the Indians but it does put their claim in an awkward position where they claim to care for Afghanistan & their friendliness with Iran because Grater Balochistan as envisioned by NeoCons contains parts of Iran and Afghanistan as well. Indian conciliates in Afghanistan wont only have to worry for Haqqani network.. but Ayatullah network and Northern Alliance network may also start tearing a new one in to those numerous cultural centers and conciliates that are setup along the Pak Afghan border.

Now, the silver lining. Although Indians can celebrate for taking a chunk of $65million from our freebee but hey.. ten in hand are much better than 1 or 2 in the bush I say

I think the US has very much sussed out the Indian psyche, the Americans give Indians lip service by some harsh words against Pakistan like where Indians are having a frenzy on an interview by Hilary Clinton to NDTV, yet at the same time Americans supply Pakistan with state of the art weapons like the AMRAAM, which are hardly useful against some donkey riding terrorists and in hindsight are meant to be used against the IAF.... WHO HAS THE LAST LAUGH. !!

it doesnt bode well. specially when Iran is also increasing cooperation with Pakistan and Russia is also on board. we might see regular gunship strikes in Afghanistan and maybe joint missions to take out those "Baloch Samachar" camps being run in Indian conciliates"

by the way this cash should be enough to pay up for the ATAK T-129 @Hyperion? if that happens it will really choke some people

I think Army already may have arranged funds for this deal as it has been given so much importance and top of all we need these helis as soon as possible, Army has kept ATAK T129 deal aside for now to concentrate on the purchase from our new friend.

best part is that the US administration fulfilled our requirements under different heads when Indians started getting anal over our ties with America

On one hand Pakistanis say that its not aid rather payment for the "Services" they provide to ISAF, then they make celebratory threads when they get the aid. Is India like a third party auditor, which needs to give the verdict whether Pakistan needs to be paid by the Americans for the "Services".
