Ahead of the 2015 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits, Heckler & Koch has introduced the P30SK (“SubKompact”), a new 9mm subcompact version of its popular P30 series pistol.
One of the smallest HK handguns ever produced, the new P30SK has an overall length of less than 6-1/2 inches, making it a suitable choice for concealed carry. Despite its small size, the HK P30SK features a magazine capacity of 11 rounds.
“Shooters love HK P30 series pistols. They are packed with features like incredible durability, superb accuracy, and the only grip in the industry that can be customized to fit any shooter,” said Michael Holley, HK-USA Vice President for Commercial and Law Enforcement Sales. “With the P30SK you get those same features in a small, extremely handy package and at an amazing price.”
The new HK P30SK incorporates many of the same features found in previous P30 series pistols, including its popular adjustable grip system. As with other P30 series pistols, the P30SK’s grip is entirely adjustable with an assortment of interchangeable backstraps and lateral grip panels, affording the shooter a customizable fit.
Other useful and ergonomic features on the P30SK include ambidextrous slide and magazine release levers, an automatic hammer safety and a firing pin safety. An abbreviated Picatinny rail is also molded into the front of the frame for mounting lights, lasers or other accessories.
Like its larger-framed counterparts, the P30SK is available in multiple trigger firing modes. These include HK’s enhanced double-action only (DAO) “Law Enforcement Modification (LEM)” with a 5.4-pound trigger pull, a conventional double action/single action (DA/SA) with a serrated decocking lever, or a DA/SA mode with dual ambidextrous manual safeties.
