Every aircraft in service today took about 20 years from initiation of project to entry into service.Check how long Rafale took from initiation of the project to technology demonstrator to its entry into service.

So I think,Pakistani trolls like you should shut up.Before mocking an indigenous Indian fighter,you guys should take a look at your aerospace industry.

J31 may get role in PAF simultaneously.

Stop cheerleadling for others. you didn't develop a car by your own. Not even a single part in FC-1 is Pakistani.

LCA mk 1 is 4th gen and mk2 will be 4.5 gen.J 31 is a wannabe 5th gen (still not there yet)
We'll have Indo Russian FGFA by 2020...J 31 in PAF ? May be in the 2030s..

Hypocrisy of certain Pakistani members amazes me.They doesn't even have an aerospace industry comparable to 1970's Indian aerospace industry and still they're mocking a 4+ gen Indian LCA.

IMO, this seems highly optimistic. China and Pakistan combined only built 12 SP JF-17s between 2007 and 2010. HAL has never built a fighter jet whereas CAC has built lots of J-10.

IMO, first squadron of Tejas by 2019, first fight of Tejas Mk 2 by 2021.

Also, note that even though SP-1 is considered an SP, it is not really SP because it still needs a number of modifications such as new nose cone, radar, missiles, engine from America and Israel before it can become operational in IAF.

JF-17 was builded becuz of the low demand by the main customer I.e PAF

Hal has been building SU-30s in large numbers for more than a decade,not to forget Mig-21s

LCA still needs years to configure sams bvr and stand off wapons to match great old mig 21 the best flying coffin of whole world.

It have already done that,you moron.

Composit manufaturing have great risks in repairing which failed many great designed comosit manufatured jet in history...lets see.

In a complex system you just start with parts to copy and maybe to improve. Gradually you move on. Just like one needs to produce a basic trainer (Mushaq), then advanced trainer (K8), then fighterjet (JF17) before entering stealth arena as a nation. Exactly that shows that a nation is clearly lying about its abilities... India wants to be partnering PAKFA or able to assemble Rafale... The reality is that it cannot start with the Mushaq level. I understand that many Indians like to think different cause they send a plug and play kit of less then 20 kg to Mars with all the help of USA, Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia (yep) and more but one needs to have to feet on the ground. Indians are no way near China... No way near Israel. No way near Europe, USA. Russia, South Africa, Brasil and indeed no way near Pakistani abilities in this sector.
