First iranian reconnaissance satellite under development

. . .
better question is what sort of strategy led to that events.
well, that's a question but they expected that the European will confiscate Mesbah satellite and yet they sent it there.

Mesbah was built and tested by Europeans so they certainly didn't expect that.

It was supposed to be launched after Sina satellite (which was built by Russians) in 7.1394 before the Ahmadinejad's minister take the office, but when Russians launched the Sina in 8.1394 and then said it was lost without further explanation, Iranian decided to ask the same Europeans to revise the Mesbah, yet it was confiscated.

This is how conservatives became mature and learned that nobody is going to give us space tech, yet Reformists still live in their delusions to this very day.

yes, only if you could handle your army without israel..

I don't think we should interfere in their affairs, India is not hurting us anyway. Besides, we don't need any more enemies.

But @Bad Guy regardless of what I said, it's easy for you to show enthusiasm, but unfortunately it is not your decision to make. You should wait and see how much pressure the US and Israel will put on India against ANY cooperation with Iran on ANY level. They want so badly to isolate Iran and they will stop at nothing to achieve this. Indian leadership needs to be strong to resist such pressure.

what I meant was that India has good relations with Israel and since any Iranian spy sats will be aimed at Israel, they will press India to choose.

. .
You mean the same Israel that gave you support during the Iraq-Iran war?
Meh, they were only a route, not a source. Besides, when you're fighting a war under embargo, you don't really care where the weapons come from as long as you get them.

You are making assumptions.

Israel has never asked or tried to interfere in India's relationship with Iran. They understand full well that our relation with Iran is historical. And we do not take any interference in our bilateral relationships with other countries kindly.

On the same vein, Iran has never tried to interfere in our relationship with Israel.

On topic: Congratulations Iran.

This rumors are as credible as Saddam was an enemy to USA!!

Iranian authorities strongly rejected any such claims... Iranian president back then, has a bio book talking about Iran-Contra between Iran and US. President Rafsanjani admitted in his book that we had a deal with Americans to import some critical weapons. Rafsanjani admitted that once there was a shipment to Bandar Abas (Hawk AA missile batteries) and that they discovered some of these missiles are imported of Israeli factories. Iran immediately returned the shipment asking for the American substitute (knowing the sensitivity)... In another part of the book Rafsanjani admits that we later found out that some of American weapons we received was discovered to be originated from Israeli factories.

Iranian authorities announced countless times that this false rumors were trying to undermine the new comer Islamic revolution by spreading false rumors of Israeli-Iranian cooperation.

Most of these claims are taken from a book by an Iranian-American anti-Islamic Republic Trita parsi (who is a founding member of Bahai, Christian and Zionist circle of NIAC org in US who serves as American sidekick against Iran. Ariel sharon and some others who claimed stuff are also non credible as they are known enemies of Iran and Islamic Revolution and do whatever they can to undermine its foundations...

What I am saying is simple:

Iran having spy satellites will have one leading opposition that will try to halt the operations. Israel... Can india satisfy Israel with sending an Iranian satellite using Indian carriers?

You are correct... but we are talking about a military espionage satellite sent to spy on Israel here...

Yes. But military recon sats are not advertised as recon sats.

100% of all such sats launched in the international market are marketed as 'weather monitoring' sats or in similar tones. So any launch that India (or for that matter any other country in the world) will do for Iran will always be for launching such civilian satellites.

Remember, once in orbit, only the country that made the satellite decides what it is used for.
