If they mess with the one China policy, it will give us free reign to fund and arm separatist groups inside India. I'm sure Sikkim, Assam, Kashmir, Khalistan, and others would love our support to gain independence.

India already recognized Tibet as a part of China. So did the Dalai Lama. In fact, no country in the entire world considers Tibet to be disputed territory at all. The exact opposite of Kashmir which is internationally recognized by the world as disputed territory.

If India doesn't want to repeat the One China policy in a public speech like they do every year, then go ahead. Frankly I'm surprised that India even did that to begin with.

I think it's because it's a dictatorship. Chinese govt has to overawe it's people by saying how strong and tough (& big big muscles etc.) they have. Chinese trolls lap the whole thing up orgasmically every day. Man I want to be in CCP leadership- would be such a cool job.
