What's new

Finally, The Economist speaks!

No, Bengals are of mixed blood ... You cant make a deaf hear no matter how loud you speak.. they certainly will point to gutters...

Muslim Bengalis are more than 60% local buddhist + 30% foreign + 10% local Hindus.

Make any sense to you??

Exactly my point. No matter how louder you speak truth remains truth.

Bengal started becoming Muslim majority after because many Muslim rulers ruled in Bengal like Ilyas dynasty and then King Ganesha's son was converted to Islam. 'According to Goron and Goenka, Raja Ganesha seized control over Bengal soon after the death of Sultan Bayazid (1412-1414). Facing an imminent threat of invasion at the behest of a powerful Muslim holy man named Qutb al Alam, he appealed to the saint to call off his threat. The saint agreed on the condition that Raja Ganesha's son Jadu would convert to Islam and rule in his place.'

Why do you think Bangladeshi women still wear Sari and Bindi as a 'cul;tural sign'? Do you think they're referring to Buddhist or foreign Islamic culture? :disagree:

I mean if Pakistanis Pashtuns said this I can understand because they have Afghan ancestry and Afghanistan used to be a Buddhist country before Islamic invasion.

I just proved my point and but you can keep on blabbing the pointless conspiracy theories.

First Hint:
Why out of nowhere Bengal became a muslim Majority??

2nd Hint:
Why Bengal is called the last frontier of Buddhism in sub continent?

3r Hint:
Where did all the Buddhist gone?

Islam was not imposed rather buddhist took it as escape route. They maintained most of their original culture and foreign muslim also got along with it very well. Sari remained...

It was only Sena dynasty which were Hindus and under them 50% remained as Buddhist. Before Senas it was Buddhist dyanasty.

.
The escape route should ring a bell!

No one escapes from a position of ascendancy or superior status.

So, the truth exposes! ;)

They were not in superior status rather marginalized under Sena and Deva. Thats the bell.. now ring it.

Those who want to escape find euphemism to cover their shame - marginalise!

You are marginalised as you claim, so I give way for your to ring your bells! ;)

.
Nope they found lots of similarity between Islam and Buddhism which made Islam attractive along with getting close to power dynamics of Islamic rule. Who will miss that??

Heavens!

To what extent can one cavort with fantasy!

Islam and Buddhism is similar!

If similar why change?

A real coc.kananny logic!

I give up.

I recuse myself so as to not lose my sanity!

Too Alice in Wonderland stuff for me!

I am talking about history and facts... bell was rang 1000 years ago so that you see a Map now ... or did you miss that?

Monotheism, casteless... Does that make sense?

Anti-Hindu attacks often accuse Hindus of being "Blasphemers" for committing "idolatry" and "polytheism" (Hinduism is more accurately described as monistic or henotheistic than polytheistic depending on the sect or school of belief involved.

Enough said.

.
If is similar, then why change?

Of course that won't make sense to you!

Islam offered even better and comprehensive and also power dynamics. It was a wholesale conversion not like individual conversion. It was more like converting the whole village at a time. community after community.

.

As the Bengali idiom goes - Pagol ki na bole, chagol ki na khaiye!

so what exactly you are eating now or smoking???

Monotheism, casteless... Does that make sense?

Buddhism is not a monotheist religion. In fact, it doesn't have any god in particular. And they do idol worship - big difference with Islam! It is more of a faith than a religion.

Well you are talking about school of thought. As some Beda (Hindu) even called to cut the tongue if anybody talks polytheism. Buddhism is just a continuation of that school of thought. It did not come out of blue sky.

But the ground reality is Hindus do idoltry and polytheism also the caste is a integral part.
