No they can't without the approval of the French, because they remains with all rights of the fighter. We can chance parts, but not the basic fighter and the Israelis can't do such comprehensive changes.
The Bisons just have some Israeli EWS parts, the rest is completely Russian
And again you are just speculating, Kaveri engine at the moment offers less thrust than the French engines have already and the don't have to be changed because they have more life than the Russian counterparts, but there are some reports that speculates on upgrades on the current engines.
france would not step in and risk straining relations with India besides we heavily modified the mirages during the kargil war to carry Israeli LGB's
a good significant Israeli chunk makes up for the bison not just the bisons LCA MKI all have Israeli subsystems Tejas MK2 and even AMCA will probably have Israeli subsystems as well
yes that is speculation the engines still have good life left in them but when we do need to replace them we could just cooperate with france to install the Kaveri when it is ready, France already offered to install the Kaveri on the Rafale if we choose it, besides Kaveri when it is ready will be able to achieve thrust of at least 95kn i'm only being speculative when we need to replace the engines the Kaveri option is there
