this Job is of a department within Army - those who meet the eligibility must apply, You will be working as a Civilian officer in the Field Operations ----- However be warned, it is not all Gold ----- the toughest part about this job is not to work in a challenge environment but to Strive in a Culture where you are surrounded by men in Uniform, and you will always be looked down up as a Civilian -----
but do not let that stop you, this job is for those who want to do something for their country, Passion and Patriotism is not the only thing required for this --- because I am audience to the case where a PMA Dropout (medically unfit) started crying while working in a Sister organization (ISI) ----- one will need a stone cold heart to bear the burden of this tough job, it is going to be a contractual assignment, and you will be signing the bond of 5 yrs or 3 yrs

Given the current Law & Order situation in the country it was not possible to meet the needs of manpower, hence it was decided to avail the services of Civilians ----- fell free to ask any questions -----

Call it the Norm?? Engineers are recruited for Desk job with in the department in question (but that is a rare occurrence, because they mostly hire IT guys for their Networking needs ---- for all other needs ICTO / EME are called upon i.e last year they recruited individuals for Digital Data Analysis ---- here we are talking about Field -----

P.S are we seeing the rise of "civilian contractors"?

Civilians have already been the part of Army but in very small numbers and they did not enjoy much respect ---- and most of these men were on Admin duties i.e Store Keeper (BPS 16), Assistant Admin Officer / Chief Admin oFficer etc --- then they went onto recruiting Network Engineers, Data analysts, GIS SPecialist ---- working conditions were really bad but now with span of time it is improving, this is a new project for civilians in Field Ops

Yes very true. Civilians with regular interaction with uniform people have continuous feeling of being pressed. I see many civilian officer feeling and sharing same with us

but change is coming, with more and more civilian contractors in army, there concerns are being addressed.....
regarding the job in question, then be advised you will not be hanging around like Lt enjoying the perks but will be thrashed around and sent to remote areas or cities......

There is hardly any technical growth for engineers in some areas of engineering disciplines in Army. If you are an engineer and want to pursue engineering related projects instead of administration and security, stay in civilian domain and pursue PHd.

They did indeed recruit Accountants / Financial specialists for Digital Data Analysis in Q3 of 2015

one has to renounce the citizen of other country ----- no Form, just Resume / C.V
