Imran Khan the half Indian will be joining him and they will both be dancing in the streets of Riyadh. Later they will join a gay parade in Istanbul alongside Erdogan.

you are absolutely right my feminist friend. what about the gay royals, they should join, dancing in the streets of Riyadh.

Have been following some of the replies here about the west.

Not exactly connected , but this year came out a movie in the UK that deals with the issues a teen ,whose family immigrated from Pakistan to the UK , had to deals with.

There are not many films on this subject that where made.

It is called " Blinded by the light " and is based on a true story.

Anyone seen it ?

The west exported this shit to us all, here in Denmark I'm told by other Danes to "**** as many Danish girls as possible". Can you imagine our grandchildren saying this to foreigners or anyone about their fellow countrywomen

it's crazy and unfortunately some Arabs in such liberal countries (Scandinavia, Benelux, France etc.) take advantage of that and become degenerates. Mostly young males. Goes for all groups in that society.

It is the fault of slutty women. If women had honor like back home, such degeneracy would not occur. A secret to a successful society in terms of values, is for women to be dignified. Luckily a few mixed concerts with Western names in KSA is not going to change that.

Absolutely right my homosexual friend.

You have bloody no idea how disappointed i was and am, when i saw the the pics of people colors at each other , this festival is related to Hinduism . Strangely coincidentally happened at the same time when in India people are doing Holi. And im not even conservative i have no problem with women driving cars this is their right.

This is the land where Islam originated. And inviting foreign "celebrities" just to show the world we are suddenly "modern" and have "freedom" what kind of nonsense is this.

Yes things are moving way too fast

You arabs were the last hope!!!

Fck me we are actually dying all this time I really thought the Islamic World is immune to this liberal crap but its actually happening.

Well, just read about that run. Apparently a lot of expats took part which explains the theme. Had no idea. But to be honest if people want to throw colors at each other, who am I to judge, lol? Rather harmless.

This is a bit of a troll thread from my part and it is nowhere near "gloom and doom". I still prefer KSA's family and cultural values over that of practically every country.

There is no feminism in the region. All we've seen was outright transgression. From Iraq war, to Syria, and the upcoming mess in Saudi Arabia. Britain first got it in Palestine, then made it all the way back to Medina.

There is definitely rising feminism in the Arab world lead by women wanting to imitate the West. There are some men too but men cannot do anything if women ignore their advances. So women hold the secret. Look at Western development in the last 50+ years. Or after WW2. Same story. It started with women's rights etc. Now there is nothing resembling their traditions left. The institution of marriage and family has collapsed too.

Thousands burst onto streets of Riyadh to take part in 'The Happiest 5k on the Planet'
October 26, 2019

Women attend the Colour Run event during Riyadh season festival, in Saudi Arabia, Oct. 26, 2019. — Reauters

RIYADH — The Color Run in the Riyadh Season, dubbed “The Happiest 5k on the Planet” witnessed the highest participation in the Middle East with thousands bursting onto the streets of Riyadh on Saturday.

Organized in line with the General Entertainment Authority’s efforts to attract top entertainment offerings to Saudi Arabia, The Color Run — now the largest running series in the world, made a vibrant return to the Kingdom's capital.

The Riyadh event follows the Kingdom’s extremely popular inaugural Color Run which took place in Al-Khobar in March and saw over 10,000 people run and walk their way along the 5k course.

The event, held in the Riyadh Boulevard Zone, is the second run in the Kingdom with record figures of 20,000 participants in Riyadh. This is double the attendance in Al-Khobar.

To date, The Color Run has been hosted in more than 40 countries with over seven million runners worldwide participating in the event.

The event is un-timed and sees thousands of participants covered from head to toe in an array of different colors throughout the 5k course before collecting their medals at the finish line.

The only rule is that those taking part must cross the finish line covered in color and have a fun time while doing it!

The non-competitive run is not only an opportunity to create picture-perfect memories (and Instagram posts!), but serves as a celebration of health, happiness and individuality.

The GEA — a core pillar under the Saudi government, is supporting the event as part of it continued efforts to enrich the lifestyle of residents as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals and in line with the nation’s Quality of Life Program 2020.

Kristen Biegler, spokesperson for The Color Run had earlier said, “Since its inception in 2012, The Color Run has had become a global phenomenon, and we are very excited to be returning to Saudi Arabia. The response in Khobar was truly amazing and we are extremely excited to bring The Happiest 5k on the Planet to Riyadh. Our No. 1 rule is that everyone has fun — it is up to you whether you run, jog, walk or even skip your way to the finish line."

Females entering concerts and stadiums alongside men, 100's of Western and Eastern singers giving sold-out concerts, males and females mixing in public, women on the roads (higher percentage of mortal road traffic accidents just a question of time, women entering all fields in the society (even the military), travel restrictions removed (guardianship laws de facto removed), feminism rampant, 1000's of women no longer wearing even an abaya in public let alone headscarf etc. MBS, Turkish Al-Sheikh and the rest might have gone a bit too far in their reforms.

Yet people still think this is the Saudi Arabia of the 1990's, 2000's (Sahwa period) and early 2010's.

I miss the Mutaween.

The question Saudi's must ask themselves is why do they need strict enforcement of religious laws? Why aren't they raising a society which buys into the values? Religious police is never the answer.

About time.

You are right it started about the Time if the two world wars.

Man where at war and someone had to go and work in the factories. Only that way woman got their independence.

Not long before that woman rights where ridiculous. They could not vote , where discriminated by property laws and could even loose the custody over their children if they had problems in their marriage.

They where completely dependent on their husbands. It was sort of slavery.

Modern-day KSA has been governed by those laws for 1400+ years in a row without any rebellions or mass-complains other than from a tiny minority of people so what makes you think that the society needs so-called "strict" enforcement of religious laws and is not "buying it", lol? Women's honor is sacred for instance. Every type of degeneracy is looked down upon universally. Alcohol and substance abuse is almost non-existent. Crime levels some of the lowest in the world. I could go on. This is a bit of a troll thread from my part as explained as most of the recent reforms are great/necessary and largely harmless. My sole criticism is Turki al-Sheikh's "entertainment" ideas of importing popular Western singers and for unmixed concerts to take place but I am conservative and many others have no problem with it as long as both sexes wear decent clothes and behave decently. Not that this is a big problem for me either, I just know that the direction the world is moving, a cultural clash (eventually) will be a question of time.

The mutaween in KSA have no judicial power left. They can only advice and do nothing more. If any laws are broken the police takes care of it.

As for them not being necessary at all, I disagree. I think that they should always be there to guide people in order to prevent degeneracy from emerging. An extra safeguard if you like.

oh, didn't realise you were trolling, thought you were serious.

About time if you subscribe to the nonsense idea of men and women being the same or equal. I don't.

I think that many Europeans would disagree with your description of recorded European history, outside of the past 70 years. Liberalism and feminism is destroying traditions that have lasted for millennia and been successful all to imitate the material and technological success of the West but that success has little to do with women, liberalism or feminism ironically. Not that conservative values ever prevented women from becoming Noble Prize Winners or achieving their dreams.

Women in power and with much influence = overall society moves towards liberalism, feminism etc. This is an established fact. Would like to see evidence of the opposite.

What the hell is holi? No, it is some color run (whatever that is, probably something Western). See the posted article.

20.000 took part.

https://www.arabnews.com/node/1471406/saudi-arabia

Apparently a lot of Pakistani and Indian expats joined that run in Riyadh as well. Point is things are changing. Feminism, liberalism etc. is winning and gaining ground everywhere. No turning back now. Frightening to think how quickly things are changing nowadays.

Conservatives like me, are sadly a dying breed. Better accept the direction the world is moving towards before the disappointment gets too big.
It is holi. It is called color run so that people get fooled.

I don't like it, this is not good. The white man labels this as progressive, mutawa'een should not have been banned.
May the full power of the Mutaween be restored!

Wasn't there one incident some years ago in which the Mutaween sent back some women into a burning hostel building just because they were uncovered ??

No such thing ever occurred. If it was genuine you would have heard about 10's of such examples prior and after but there is only that 1 particular propaganda example. Neglect was proven but it had nothing to do with them preventing anything. "Some years" ago. Almost 20 years ago.

Does not change the fact that the hai'a in its current purely advisory role is not a bad thing at all to keep potential degenerates in check by embarrassing them in public if necessary if crossing any lines in the public sphere. Anyway since they are rendered irrelevant nowadays, they might as well be removed and let the police deal with any laws being broken.

BTW of course the hai'a committed plenty of mistakes as well. They were made up by humans after all. Remember that many of its members were former convicts or other reformed Muslims and people. Not exactly academics or old people with a great life experience behind them. That is why they were unpopular at times. However the idea of a body helping prevent pervasion, vice and to promote decency in public is not a bad one.

They have been totally reformed today and all the bad apples have been removed and now it requires a religious education (before as well but not always harshly enforced from what I recall) or an academic one to advise people and they cannot do anything but advice people. No jurisdiction to arrest, interrogate etc.

But yeah, if we grow old, Insha'Allah, things will look very differently in say 2060 and ancient old and healthy traditions might long be gone seeing how things are moving in the world.

To be fair, aren't Pakistanis the product of interracial marriages?
