Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak said : In rehber committee nothing was discussed about resignation or any such deal. Maulana totally go against his agreement. Khattak is upset and angry ....replying to Badami question ..

lol, 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. What happens when everyone goes back to work on Monday?

Today speech . Also he send message to " establishment" to stay away from coming movement. (idara apni haad ma rahan) Imran Khan has to quit next two days. If not then Maulana announce his next action plan.
He addressed the Pakistan army indirectly. Next 48 hours very crucial. Maulana order his supporter to start " sit in" NOW.
( Sorry, he wants to dissolve the govt and call in new election )

Don't want a clash with 'institutions' but want to see them 'impartial': Fazl
JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman says his party does not desire a clash with the "institutions" of the country but also expects them to be "impartial".

"If we feel that the institutions are protecting these illegitimate rulers, then after a time limit of two days we should not be stopped from forming an opinion regarding the institutions," he told the Azadi March gathering.

The only reason I can't support this March is because of the extreme religious political beliefs these people hold.

So what will happen after two days? He storms red zone, he will be shot. He blocks any main roads into Islamabad, he will be arrested. He starts uncivil riots, he will be shot. He uses his "army" to attack, he will be shot. He tries to break any of these agreement he agreed to, law will come down hard on him.

So he has the full support of india and RAW. Why is being left alive still? He needs to be hanged and this must happen now

It means he is going to wrap up his circus after two days... given period for his return with grace while he opts to threaten and save face like this.

He himself has support of institutions. Someone very powerful is unhappy with PTI or Bajwas extension.

No way has Diesel done this all by himself.
The religious parties have always been able to bring out strong crowds, especially when they use the blasphemy/khatam-e-naboowat card - I see nothing out of the ordinary with this protest/March. Really need to stop with the Establishment conspiracy theories.

Think about it this way - a lot of very painful economic reforms have been put in place. At this point, if they aren't carried through, the result is going to be disastrous. The Establishment is not going to upset the apple cart because of Mullah Diesel's protests. If anything, the lackluster participation of the PPP & PMLN should make you realize that there is no 'grand Establishment conspiracy' going on.

Imran Khan should have dissolved the parliament 6 months ago.

Now he is damned if he does that and damned if he does not.

Nice political gig

If such kind of Dharna/protest could have made any mark; I respect late Qazi Hussain Ahmed (may ALLAH forgive him) and the then Jamat-e-Islami. Since then, none of these parties have such kind of political show/street power. Fazal-ur-Rehman is so self centric/egoistic and mean person that Qazi did not like him. Maulana was the guy that keep insisting for the PM seat if MMA wins and in-fact he put the condition to join MMA back in days.

The 'Establishment' has been turned into the 'bogeyman' in Pakistan. Something doesn't go according to plan in Pakistan, it's the Establishment.

Never mind the fact that Pakistan is an extremely complex & diverse country with very strong interest groups (bureaucrats, unions, ethnic nationalists, military, Feudal lords, Tribal Lords etc etc) that have been in place for decades, none of whom want the status quo to change & resist change. The PTI wanted to document the economy and the traders unions started protesting, reforms in the medical field & the doctors start protesting, reforms/privatization of massive loss making PSE's and the unions backed by local political parties start protesting. And they all tap into sympathetic (for whatever reason) voices in the media to push their agenda against reforms.

If we focus on the reality of what Pakistan IS, instead of hoping for simplistic solutions whose failure we blame on the 'Establishment', we might actually start addressing the root causes behind the slow process of reform and change.

Crowd is reasonably big. After 2 days things will be interesting. Looks like it will end up in a clash.
