Such sad situation. I don't know who to blame here. Jamat has always been known for its extreme-right views. Munawar Hassan has always and openly endorses talibs and criticized army operation against them. So, I'm not one bit surprised he made those remarks.
I'm disappointed at the army, however, if they had killed that Mehsud dog, we wouldn't be in this mess. They involved the US and now anti-US elements in Pak are declaring him a martyr.
Fighting ones own people is the hardest thing any country's army can do. It's people are never fully on-board and always confused about who's right and who's wrong. It's been over 150 years since the American civil war - fought on the basis of abolishment of slavery - and people of the southern states still fly their confederate flag high and consider it a proud part of their history. They still despise the North and call the war, the war of northern aggression.
Pakistan has a long way to go. But it must learn to fight its own battles. Mehsud had harmed Pak army and govt like anyone's buisness. He spew poison against the Pakistani state and armed forces. He warned revenge in numerous videos and then delivered on it. His death was a personnel matter to Pak army, and they went and got the US involved. Should have blasted him out of his rat hole.
Hopefully they'll remember this lesson when it's time and opportunity to kill Mullah FM. Kill him yourself.
