However i will like to add that the people are not willing to pay taxes because they have been failed time and time again by previous governments and they have no trust in the current government or the institutions collecting taxes.

The "tax" is a legal form of extortion imposed by the government to run itself. If government (in old times kings) says that you have to pay certain percentage of "tax = legal extortion" on your income/earnings/profit then you have to pay it, where it will be spent is none of your job. The system at its core is essentially the same, it is just that "kings" have been replaced by "governments" in modern times.

Ok this is really hilarious to be honest!!

If export oriented industry protests any taxes that is understandable, they earn foreign exchange for the state, government wants to increase exports and thus supports them. Exports are not taxed anywhere else either. However whats the deal with these local traders??? WHY ARE THEY PROTESTING? Why they say that they wont pay tex/ Kuen bahi kuen nahi dyna ha tax? Pagal k bachy!!

most of the products in khi wholesale markers are smuggled into the country or misdecleared to save duty and taxes and those same smugglers are trade organization leaders and these same so called leaders of market are on strike and small traders are forced to follow them.
