fashions are never static. they are always changing.what os fashion today will become obslete and out of date the next day.and people never like to be out of fashion. they want to be in the mainstream and flow along the current of the fashion. fashions work as a very powerful force in the society and also reflect change, progress, prosperity and advancement. they are also one of the root causes of devolopment and progress of culture. as such they are all pervasive and influence all aspects of our life. they influence human behaviour, etiquettes, moods and ideology in a way as no other thing can do. they areof much social and psychological significance and which is why to be out of the stream.
in big cities and towns there are fashion designers in droves. they are ever engaged in creating new fashions, styles and designs to increase the sale of thier goods. the beautiful men and womens are used as models to display their latest designs and styles.
fashions are part and parcel of our life. they are essential and appericiable but it never means aping the west or slavish and blind imitation for others. thoughtless fads and fashions often make us rediculous. copying others in the name of change sensation, novelty, varity and innovation is totally undesirable and determinal to our national pride and intrests. we should be practical, logical and economical in shifting from one fashion to another. change of taste, direction, mood, emphasis is good and appreciable but it should be meaningful, convinient and suitable. fashions can never be an end in itself. it is simply a means to satisfy our urges of change, novelty and the latest.the tyranny of fashions should never be allowed to prevail
