Scholars Declare 1910 Annexation Treaty Invalid

A group of Korean and Japanese scholars said Monday that the treaty that Japan used to annex the Korean Peninsula in 1910 was illegal and invalid.

Commemorating the centennial year of the annexation, a combined 214 intellectuals from Korea and Japan declared a joint statement to that effect at news conferences in Seoul and Tokyo.

When China was developing the 'Bomb' she got the support of people and it was like everybody was working hard to contribute the defense the survival of the motherland.

It is the sovereign right of a people to determine how they want to spent the fruits of their own hard labor, whether be it on acquiring the Bomb or growing adequate amounts of grain.

What is unjustifiable is for a nation to spend its meager resources on weapons and then expect the world community to provide its citizens with food aid.

The UN created the ROK government under the UNSC mandate.


The ROK government still has the original UNSC mandate, which declares the ROK as the sole legitimate government of Korea. There is nothing illegal about the ROK invasion and occupation of North Korea, not under the UN mandate nor the ROK constitution.

Iran has nothing to do with NK, and you are supposed to be their brother as blood is thicker than water, why you don't help their normal citizens?

In order for a popular revolt in North Korea to succeed, the starving troops must revolt first.

This is why any food shipment sent to North Korea is shipped straight to the military warehouse to feed the troops, to prevent the revolt. This is why the North Korean defectors oppose any food shipment to North Korea.
