I think national and provincial assembly seats of Karachi should be decreased. Because Karachi is a small area. In some other areas of Sindh national assembly halqas are of thousands of square kilometers and in Karachi Few thousand square km area have 21 MNAs.

Electoral constituencies are based on population irrespective of the land mass, thats why Punjab has the most seats while Balochistan has the least.

There should be a maximum and minimum area requirement for halqas. In Balochistan Dera bugti kohlu barkhan sibi all these districts combined have 1 national assembly seat. And an other city of Balochistan quetta have 2 or 3 seats. Kya itnay baray halqa main koi aam politician campaign kar skta ha?

So you reckon instead of electoral constituencies maybe just go by districts or tehsils irrespective of the population density?

Tehsil and districts are not of same size. Aik city main kisi halqa ki population ziada bhi ho wahan campaign krna logon say milna easier hota ha kyonki thori place par ziada log rehtay Hain. Lahore ki 14 ki jaga 6 or 7 seats hon to koi farq nhi paray ga.
Halqa bandi k liye area requirement honi chahiye. for Example halqa 600 square km sa kam na ho and 6,000 square km sa ziada na ho.

Take them out first? What do you mean by that? In 1947 Karachi had population of around 5 hundred thousands only and then everyone came to Karachi for work and living at some point in past. Everyone has right to go and live where ever than want. Why do people think Karachi is only for muhajirs?

I am not talking about what govt did or didn't do. I am talking about this mentality that Karachi is for mohjirs only take other people out or sent them back home.
