Why would Iranian leadership want to get involved in Libya? It's beyond my logic and I don't believe we are. But why American media/leadership wants us involved?
1) They want to justify their own actions in Libyan conflict.
2) They can cover their crimes in Libya claiming we target imaginary Iranian forces.

Russia might be involved maybe to eliminate Turkish supported groups that are transferred into Libya mostly from Syrian terrorist groups such as Nusra and Qaeda.

What is obvious to me, we cannot be in Libya. We don't have the resources for that purpose, Yemen and Syria are enough to handle.

The city was the main launchpad for an offensive against the capital that Haftar's forces finally abandoned this week.

Forces loyal to Libya's internationally recognised government said on Friday they entered Tarhuna, the last major stronghold of commander Khalifa Haftar in the west, capping the sudden collapse of his 14-month offensive.

Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA) was pushed from its last positions in the capital, Tripoli, a day earlier in the latest of in a series of battlefield defeats.

I know that given the ground reality my response might be a dream, but why don't you leave it to Libyan to decide? Who am I to say who could rule them?

But whatever happens, these armed conflicts must stop. They started similar scenario in Syria and unfortunately we had to get involved. Because Syria is our only hope to help Palestine and Lebanon and also keeping Israel at bay.

Libyan have decided to embrace democracy when they toppled Gaddafi. Actually I dont like armed revolution and would prefer what happen in my country when leaders from the top acknowledge the need to change authoritarian regime and replace it with democracy with peaceful means after people want democracy. Not like Bashar Regime that your country supported who hold the power even though 80 % Syrian want him to go. This lead to war. So dont blame other party who initiated Syrian war. Both are wrong by using military means. By siding with Bashar you also show that you are still one of the sectarian group that have weaken Muslim world, particularly in Middle East.

If we let Haftar rule Libya it means Libyan will go backward instead of move forward. What is the benefit of Libyan revolution if Libya come back being ruled by another strong man. This cycle will be repeated. And we need to bring democracy to Libya so that succession will happen smoothly, without blood and war. And it is clear Libyan also want democracy from what happen during the revolution period. Haftar also took Eastern Libya with military power.
