well PMO takes decisions of all ministries and confusion has set in cabinet it seems. congress i believe will support GST bill this session towards the end with few changes govt agreeing into and some cong leaving

Pay commission will benefit over 47 lakh central employees and about 50 lakh+ retired ones however the state govts will have some time to apply the 7th pay commission in their respective states so the rise in domestic demand will not be upsurge straight away but the govt. has to come up with strong measures+reforms till 2017. The recent inflow of FDI is a advantage which will continue as Modi's foreign visits has promised a good amount of FDI inflow for the next five years but the domestic market and the manufacturing sector has to step up as well.

This statement is so ridiculously incorrect that there could only be some other motive.

The campaigning is WHAT is missing. The Government has DONE way more than the last Government did in 5 years. But they are posted only in tweets. As if 1.2 Billion Indians are there. No media outlet is taking them. Instead tweets of Shobha De are more crucial.

I understand that the MSM is not very relevant. But over the period of sustained negative campaigning for 5 years - it can work.

I think you missed what i was trying to say .
I have been in politics for 18 odd yrs. During election campaigns they are high of rhetoric and always put down the opp. but after you win the election , the govt in power has to sit down , offer a hand to the opp, work with them to secure the smooth passage of bills . More importantly the smooth working of parliament.
Now this govt failed to understand they once they won they still have to work with the opp. they were under the impression that since they had a majority they would not need to take the others with them .
Also they do not have any leader who cuts across party lines to work out backroom deals to ensure the smooth running of parliament.

What you suggest is the traditional approach.

There is another - one that Modi followed in Gujarat. By literally breaking the Opposition. After coming to the Center, he DID NOT even try going after the leaders like the previous Government ran after Modi. That is so un-Modi-ish.

The govt. has taken some tough steps to get the economy going but if the promised reforms aren't their the investor will move away though I will not blame the govt. alone for this the impatience shown by the opposition since Modi has been in power and the abruptness in the parliament has cost the country a very important time.

The Bangladesh land agreement was a very fine example of Modi govt. working with the opposition but since then they just didn't seem to get along.

The problems which I see.
1. No contact with people over what is the good work being done.In my whole joint family of 25 educated people only I use Twitter. So no question about the general mass knowing what's happening.

2. Soft on pro Hindu Nationalism. Let me be frank. BJP will loose big next time in Ranchi and Hazaribagh, no matter what happens. Last month when people from religion of peace went on rampage throwing cut cow heads in temples ,and burning down Hindu shops.....despite having a BJP government....the culprits are roaming free. And the CM is moving Masjid to masjid saying sorry. During the whole saga we wished that Congress was at the power, at least we would have been given an opportunity to give a befitting reply.

3. Aggressive decision making.If BJP doesn't have numbers in RS. Then it should call a joint session and make sure Land Acquisition and GST are passed.


Having said the above 3 points , BJP is the best choice we have for development.
