Factories running 30% below capacity: Rajan

Mid term course correction can only be done if one is aware of what one is doing wrong. Our Govt seem to have lost the plot. Hopefully wiser heads will prevail.

Fast loosing it, middle class is very restive and they are sniffing the plot much smartly and earlier then anticipated

The Bihar election was a clear picture of things to come. The BJP is underestimating the secular forces, especially in terms of alliances they can make.
The Mittel class is still behind Modi. But the vast majority of the population probably are not.

with the reputation he came into power it was not a difficult task for him to have majority of indians on his side including me too but i wonder if his unilateral mind set is responsible for this

The people voted for development , they were under the impression that the policy paralysis of the previous govt would be undone by modi , however even if one is to ignore the loonies who have been prevalent in the news for various sundry reasons , people realize that their pockets are being strained by price rise. its the one thing which brings down govts in India.

Na. I am realistic. He could have won fence sitters. You are not a fence sitter. You are firmly entrenched in the Congress faction. Only immediately post election you were wavering. You cannot be won by the BJP. Certainly not by Modi.

But I am talking about the masses here. Modi has missed the bus entirely. There is no social movement. He is going to go down as a successful administrator, a gentle statesman. But not as a man who radically changed the Indian story for a rapid growth. Such were the (slightly unrealistic) expectations.

Also with the media not publicizing positive achievements the Govt. is doing is going to cost them in the long run. Cost the BJP, I mean.

Higher prices of essential commodities, rising unemployment along with falling industrial growth and exports are major challenges before govt to address in right Ernest from winter session but hopes looks dim if they have learnt there political lessons right

I believe it is , Its the way he ran gujrat. But India is not a small state. Also they have not come out of their campaigning mode. after any election you have to sit with the opp to work things out so there can be a smooth sailing of bills. that's not happening.

I hope the congress does not stall this session . point was made last session but if they do stall this one then the people with just see them as objecting for the sake of it.

Its not like that i am not into active politics but dead against sarcastic irritating politics. The punjab bluder BJP did after winning elections they did not withdrawn from akalis. what wil you call this blunder ? what was the fault of sidhu ?these are the decisions the workers of opposing party can be won over too and i am an ordinary businessman

Also they have not come out of their campaigning mode.
This statement is so ridiculously incorrect that there could only be some other motive.

The campaigning is WHAT is missing. The Government has DONE way more than the last Government did in 5 years. But they are posted only in tweets. As if 1.2 Billion Indians are there. No media outlet is taking them. Instead tweets of Shobha De are more crucial. :agree:

I understand that the MSM is not very relevant. But over the period of sustained negative campaigning for 5 years - it can work.

When pay commission recommendations are accepted by January that will positively pop up internal growth but at the same time will push up inflation levels too so govt must keep its policies result oriented, already they have missed on major reforms since past 18 months
Pay commission will benefit over 47 lakh central employees and about 50 lakh+ retired ones however the state govts will have some time to apply the 7th pay commission in their respective states so the rise in domestic demand will not be upsurge straight away but the govt. has to come up with strong measures+reforms till 2017. The recent inflow of FDI is a advantage which will continue as Modi's foreign visits has promised a good amount of FDI inflow for the next five years but the domestic market and the manufacturing sector has to step up as well.
