Chinese should support their home company, abandon US products (yeah all those iPhones) and buy huawei.

I know the Chinese style isn't based upon aggression but that doesn't stop you from taking steps to improve China's PR campaign across the world. You can't apply the rules which work in China with the rest of the world. Remember the famous quote "When in Rome do as the Romans do." The same concept applies to the west. The Chinese (officials, students, academics) must confront those who have attacked China on its human rights violations. For example, Falun Gong has been successful in the west because no one has challenged them on their credibility. This damages China's soft image. If the American's can pump in $200 million into Pakistan's media houses to speak their narrative then China must counter it. The Snowden case may have been covered up but it has damaged America's soft power across the world. If you travel to the west and speak to the average person then you'll know how much people hate what America did and how often they ask their Govt what protections are in place to stop privacy intrusions. America is in decline you don't need a fortune cookie to tell you that but China shouldn't let the American's call the shots. The American's are making an example of Huawei so China must do the same with an American company.

facebook is not good app and has lot of fake users and is a tool of 5 gen hybrid warfare.China should develop its own version of such app but keep it in English language so it attracts users from whole world unlike many other existing chinese apps which lose many users outside china because they are in chinese language which non chinese people cannot understand

This is actually a blessing in disguise. One resource hungry bloatware less on the phones. I don't have a Facebook account and first thing I do after getting an Android phone is to disable or uninstall as much as bloatware shipped along. Those who want to use Facebook can still use it on the browser and Tor is available on play store

I don't give much importance to this news. People can choose to install them, but given google has already ended support for them, pulled play store. If more companies are pressured to do the same, it's bad news for Huawei.

Now whatsapp is owned by Facebook, you can imagine the trouble it would create if they end support for Huawei.
This is sad, and shows how depended those companies are on US products.

I have never been a big fan of android phones. Last Android phone i had was samsung s5 which was a massive disappointment as it kept crashing mid calls and battery life was really shit. I had iphone ever since but all this controversy makes me want to buy a Huawei set .

haha Huawei will still run on Android but there won't be much support, there is always Huawei store I guess where you can download apps. But I don't know how reliable they are. The politics of it doesn't matter, but the reliability. I would say get an iPhone if you don't like Android or buy Oneplus 7 if you really want Chinese phones.

But actually in this case the loser side is the app developer.

Usually pre-installed app is to promote that app.

But of course this kind of news is psychological, rather than practical. To make reader scare over Huawei.
