F-35 is Liaoning's worst nightmare, says Global Times

You know, who will cry if US build 2400 F-35? China? No. It's Boeing.

Not sure if 2400 F-35s would be attacking China at once if that is what you are referring to because as a counter China would end it asap using less than 30 ICBMs and these rest of F-35s would remain on land.:cheesy:

Sometimes speaking with logic is better than hesitantly replying to others.

You don't know what I mean in my post? You know, before even these 2400 F-35 attack China or other countries in this world, it is Boeing who lost most of the job and market to Lockheed Martin. Because it is Boeing market that got attacked by Lockheed Martin in here. What kind of order Boeing will get if everyone buy F-35? So it is them who will cry first; not China.

After building 2,000 F-35s ... how long time & how much money ? Well China can build 2,000 J-20 to deal with it, or 2,000 cheaper J-31 ? F-35 vs J-20, hahaha... give u 10 years.

It would take US for domestic consumption to develop 2443 F-35s in 25-30 Years it is next to impossible to develop 2400ish in even 15 Years. There are doubts A-10s are being retired, other programs are shutting down surely the number of F-35s is going to come down to max 2000. Again whom will they be using 2000ish F-35s against EU friends? Aliens? hindustani? F-15s are enough for them, African [lol poor], Arabs few Cruise missiles and they will give up. Using F-35s as primitive strikes against Russians and China is like a suicide a few DF long range ICBMs will finish the game. This is all domestic game by US Generals and Senators to make money corruption due to several Military Programs.

Can you please tell what makes them Anti-Stealth?
It's China's Ultra High Frequency AESA radar.

Stealth technology and the counter-stealth response
Very high frequency (VHF) and ultra high frequency (UHF), pioneered in the 1940s, is still used today for long-range aerial surveillance. These frequencies, as explained by Arend G. Westra in a 2009 issue of Joint Force Quarterly, can confound stealth techniques by operating on decimetre to metre-long wavelengths.

The meeting of wavelengths between radar and aircraft causes resonation between the two, significantly raising an aircraft's reflection in the radar spectrum, making it much more visible. VHF radar has been incorporated into the Russian military's 1L119 Nebo SVU, its first VHF-band active electronically steered array (AESA); although detailed analysis of this vehicle-mounted array, Russian sources report it has achieved excellent results in spotting stealth aircraft.

I think that the Americans would have taken a 1940's technology into consideration before embarking upon a $0.35 trillion project.

Stealth Technology And Counter Stealth Radars: A Review. pdf
3.2 Multi-Band 3D Radar: This is a modern technology, evolved by Russia in late 2008. This radar system is a
pack of three to four discrete radars and a single Processing and Command unit. One of such existing radar
system is the Nebo Radar. The VHF- Band element of the system provides sector search and track functions of
low RCS targets, with the X-Band and L-Band elements providing a nice tracking capability.

I think the US might use F-35 on Syria, but not on China. Even J-10B would give F-35 a run for its money.

Good to read this pdf, how to anti-stealth aircraft

The production F-35 is expected to present a higher RCS than the prototype X-35, since more volume was required for the internal equipment and armament bays. The curves of the redesigned fuselage will incur an RCS increase, from some certain directions. It was calculated that the RCS will remain very low from the frontal sector and more precisely from a sector of 29ο in front of the aircraft. However, the RCS will not be so low from the lateral aspect and also from the rear aspect. The whole behavior deteriorates at lower frequency bands. The researchers of the Air Power Australia created a 3-D model of the underside of the fuselage and tried to calculate the RCS ([46]), using the POFACETS algorithm, developed at the Naval Postgraduate School of the USN ([47][48]), proving in this way their arguments.

11. 3D VHF Radar AESA 1L119 NEBO SVU

Developed by NNIIRT (Russia), the 3D surveillance radar NEBO SVU has
been operational since 2004. It uses digital processing and solid state electronics,
employing an array of 84 Yagi type antennae. Installed on a vehicle, it can be
transported within 20 min. The maximum ranges reported for its later export version,
for a target of 2,5 m² RCS (typical target used as reference in many Russian systems)
are as follows:
– 65 km for a target at 500 m altitude,
– 270 km for a target at 10000 m altitude,
– 380 km for a target at 20000 m altitude.
Accuracy: 200 m in range, 1,5° vertically and 0,5° for the azimuth. It can track
up to 100 targets and can be connected to an S-300 system anti-aircraft system, to
designate l.o. targets to the engagement radar [80][56].

I presume now that we can say with a reasonable level of assurance that China and Russia are just trolling everyone with J-20 and PAK-FA, when stealth has been rendered obsolete, huh?:victory1:

It depend on whether ur enemy can build 3D VHF AESA radar or Low Frequency Band Radar stations, if not ur stealth fighters still r invisible. Or they has the chance become the F-117 lie down in Yugoslavia.

Why could Yugoslavians shoot only one F-117.

Why could Yugoslavians shoot only one F-117.
The same answer to why could Iran get down only one RQ-170 and why could American retire all rest F-117 after Kosovo War ?
Just as a American ever told me, "sh!t lucky". :p:

No such thing as stealth. Everything must reflect radio energy. Of course, this reflectivity can be reduced. F-35 is good against Syria, not against China which has state of the art radars that can track F-35 from hundreds of miles out.

Only 59 F-117A were built. 1 loss to an obsolete air defense system was pretty bad. Another was damaged by gunfire.
