Exposed: Obama's Plan to Arm Taiwan

.
Kicking NGO out in China? Will not happen in our life time. You have to understand Chinese mentality. Only when shit hit the fan is when they start doing things. Look at all those past dynasties. Once the invaders are on the border than they wake up but it's usually too late. Just wait until the next Chine ultra right wing government.

The CPC would not even bother increasing the PLA's capabilities if it wasn't for Taiwan crisis in 1996 and the SCS crisis now.

That's why I said the SCS crisis is the best thing that could happen for the rapid development of the PLA.

These liberal minds and risk averse people are holding China back. Mao was the last tough Chinese leader. That's why it was he that was able to resist Japanese invaders and kick out Western invaders.

Deng was good for economy but he cut the military a lot.

Xi Jinping is getting tougher so we have some hope.

Don't the CPC realise that US NGOs are there to topple the CPC? The Hong Kong protests were so easy to foresee but the CPC was blind to this.

Heck, even Putin was blind to the role of US NGOs until the 2012 protests which opened his eyes. Russia passed a couple of NGO laws and now starting to kick out USAID, National Endowment for Democracy, Open Society Foundation and others.

Paul Craig Roberts said the Russians and Chinese were incredibly foolish to allow US NGOs to operate in their territory and one day both will realise the foolishness of their policies. He said this years ago.

US uses NGOs (CIA fronts), private mercenaries and media to topple governments.
These 3 groups must be targeted and disrupted by Russian and Chinese intelligence. Otherwise all talk of national security is a failure.

Well said. Right now there is still a CIA headquarter in HK!
isn't this total lunacy. Is there a CIA office in Russia?

Even the Indians have started to kick out NGOs.

China sanctioned Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon.

But I consider it to be unwise, because all possible collaboration with them would be useful, as they are two firms with highly advanced technologies.

For example, this project would now fail:

Lockheed Martin Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion · Environmental Leader · Environmental Management News

And this:

Lockheed Martin extends Chinese nuclear cooperation

This above was specially valuable, because China was getting top notch nuclear civil technology, derived from its huge experience in military naval propulsion.

Lockheed Martin is essentially training Chinese engineers, and scientists in making nuclear safety automation equipment.

Of course, China would like to ban and sanction them, but it is going to hurt China, because it would prefer to have such a kind of access to the same engineers who are making some of the most intricate nuclear systems in the world.

Even Egypt kicked out American NGOs.

Russia has done it, India has done it.

I just can't understand why anti-CPC NGOs are allowed to operate in China, Hong Kong and Macau. It's a receipe for disaster.

I wouldn't worry about Macau and HK to be honest. The citizens of Macau have never demonstrated for democracy and aren't gonna start making trouble in the future either because they are not susceptible to those NGO influence. HK on the other hand has seen democracy movements and at the height of the protests last year which lasted 2-3 months, how many support did those students get? The majority of the citizens slammed the protestors and everything turned normal once again. Beijing doesn't have to break a sweat, the local police, black society, majority of the people handled the situation very well. This proof HK is not an easy target to get everybody brainwashed and start rioting against Mainland. The students failed miserably and are now seen as troublemakers by everybody. Anyway Taiwan, HK and Macau are not the issues. Our primary focus is our rapid development.

Looks like Obama got caught in the act.
 is that all you guys gonna sell to Taiwan in order to prevent unification? I'm soooooo disappointed you guys aren't giving the F-35, Burkes and nuclear subs to our brethren. How are you supposed to "protect" Taiwan once we have fully modernized our military?

Hey what we sell to Taiwan is enough for the Chinese govt. to summon our ambassador to China in protest.

Standard procedure to complain dude, don't you know that? Tell you what at least you can make a buck right now, in the future when Taiwan is under our command you guys might wanna sell your state of the art toys to Mainland, afterall we got very deep pockets

Can just easily say nothing as standard procedure. If you want advance weapons in Taiwan to fall into China's hands, you should be encouraging it.:-)

The US seems like arming Taiwan against the pirating nations such as Vietnam and the Philippines. Taiwan recently upgraded the Taipingdao with the help of the Mainland and the government has made a strong statement as to "China's" absolute sovereignty over the physical structures in the entire SCS.

This is the same line with the Mainland. So, who must be really concerned about a mightier Taiwan here? The Mainland's military/logistical upper hand is given, there is no lunatics in Taiwan's local government thinking to break away from the one-China model.

The undercurrents are favorable for an eventual unification, the economic, logistical and, partly, political steps to this end are being taken incrementally as we speak.

The unification is to take place organically.

Wow, if your information was correct- then why did china throw such a fit and call up our ambassador to threaten us about it?

China summoned the U.S. charge d'affaires in Beijing, Kaye Lee, to protest and said it would impose sanctions on the companies involved, China's state news agency Xinhua reported

Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. China strongly opposes the U.S. arms sale to Taiwan," Xinhua quoted Vice Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang, who summoned Lee, as saying.

That's the regular diplomatic procedure. Not a fit. Everything is done in a dignified manner, following international customs/diplomatic etiquette/courtesy.

Geopolitics is never a linear science. And those points are of my own, as a person residing in Greater China, not of the China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If you want to see a real fit, watch Hillary when Obama's Syrian resolution was vetoed by China and Russia.
