Yes Erdogan said that Turkey is interested in the S-500 too, but he agreed on no joint production for the first batch of the S-400.. so Turkey will get the S-400 system and real ToT and joint production will start with the 2nd batch..which gives time to the Russian experts to test its electronic jamming devices on any NATO attempt to decipher the systems electronic components..

Turkey may get most unique S-400 system as it will have Turkish made systems too, so no big issue for Russia.

As far as the S-400 is concerned, the Russians added a new missile that can down Awacs, refueling tankers, reconnaissance aircrafts and more at a distance of 400 km, and most likely another missile from the S-500 system that can intercept ballistic missiles at an altitude of 185 km..so its altitude range went from 40km to 185 km.. otherwise it became an ABM system on top of being an ADS..

Why Turkey will buy two different S-400?? Turkish systems can be installed and tested in Russia too it's not necessary to have ToT to do that.
