Exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists including mortar fire, eight terrorists killed, two soldiers injured: ISPR

I am not expert in munitions, but on the face of it that does look like a missile rather than a mortar or arty shell.

@SQ8 might know more about the types of munitions ours and US drones use.
Diameter of system is likely not a mortar because that is more than 120mm.
This isn’t a JAGM - and hellfires are generally not white.

What systems do we use on our own drones?

Pakistani drones carry a variety
There are Barq equipped systems primarily in the Shahpar-2 and the CH-3 derivatives. It has been seen in white and grey schemes

CH-4 one offs carry FT-5 and possibly FT-8 or FT-10 pgms.

TB-2s were reportedly to come with MAM-Cs - those are not like this.

Akinci armaments are not known.

. .
So they lied again, about mortar fire. Probably trying to providing cover for an MQ-9 attack.

This is becoming predictable.

Literally the most irrelevant infographic since 08 to 13 was the main offensive during war on terror.

Khan would've had similar stats if he was in government during that time.

Your signature explains everything about your reply. LMFAO.

“War on Terror”….this is why you Amritsari immigrants (so called Punjabis) have the reputation you have.

Thank god Lahore saved the dignity of Punjabis after coming out in favour of Imran Khan.

Drone strikes on own territory is not inherently bad, it's the timing, location, reasoning and outcome that matters.

It seems they have fucked most of the above. Also it's funny they thought PDM would stand against it, that's delusional. But I don't think the army needs any specific party in power to do drone strikes, they do it undercover regardless.
Cold blooded murder of innocents for ubis normal. Shame on u

own drone more likely. but if the ttp is indeed using women and children as shield, then its on them.

Military doesn't use drones on TTP: "Army is allowing TTP to grow"
Military drone strikes TTP: "Army is against Pakistan"
exactly. i am anti-military most of the time, but when they do what is required of them, then they should be supported.

.
And there you go. I'm gonna be sadly saying "I told you so" about this to certain relatives of mine that said PDM would never allow drone strikes to occur on Pakistani territory.

This was one of the main reasons why IK was ousted.
Drone strikes have been going on for a while since a couple of years, unless you are referring to foreign drones. The attack, as of writing this, seems to have been a Pak Mil op. Now whether it was a drone or artillery strike, not sure yet.

Further footage of the munition purportedly used

I personally believe this won't be USA drones

Pakistan already has drones that can do the exact same job. It is already using them in Balochistan against BLA/BLF. If they can use them in Balochistan then why not kpk???

Also TTP is no threat to USA. In fact TTP has openly said that USA is not its target or its enemy

So this would be most probably Pakistani attack at a very wrong time

I already told you guys right at the beginning that it was a Pakistani drone

Americans have no interest in hitting TTP. TTP itself says it is no threat to USA

. .
That plus the wreckage of the munition used. The result is the same though. 8 TTP neutralised incl 3 commanders. 2 children shaheed.

Some are saying the TTP are deliberately using their families/children as shields so when an attack like this happens, the children will be harmed in the attack, which will paint Pakistans military in a negative light. A final middle finger from the neutralised terrorists as it seems
Using local idiots as human shields by these types of people is normal

We don't have a magic wand
Right. Whether an IBO or drone strike, it was an attack on terrorists. Children unfortunately died as a result were likely the terrorists' children. Trying to save them by sending in soldiers would have spilled needless blood. If we want to eliminate terrorism, we need to go hard, collateral damage would occur and it is just part of it. We should never let these terror sympathisers slow us down due to their whining. The fact that they would talk about the children, and not the terrorists who were hiding there shows where their loyalties truly lie ......

We tried in the past to save people, by sending in soldiers In teams to try and get the terrorists and limit collateral damage

However I those circumstances we always took heavy casualties, the terrorists are well armed and holed up

We can't keep putting our soldiers lives on the line

Collateral is terrible but these people PURPOSELY PUT HUMAN SHIELDS INCLUDING THEIR OWN FAMILIES AND CHILDREN IN THE LINE OF FIRE, we can't keep sending soldiers into close combat risking death because these people are animals

Drones and other weapons are better options
