Evidence that Sikhs are Indians

My sister in law is from indian Punjab, and no, she does not consider herself indian.

.
Those sikhs are not pashtuns but punjabi settlers who settled there during the ranjit era.
They do speak panjabi in their homes but younger generation doesnt speak muh panjabi due to influence of Pashto and urdu.
Sikhs of afghanistan are also panjabi.
Who the hell will go 200 years ago from Punjab to settle in tribal areas ?.No not at all.Like the other parts of the world 99.9 % Sikhs are basically Hindus who are converted to Sikhism. Similarly KPK Sikh who are mostly native Hindus also converted to Sikhism during Ranjeet Singh era.

And that angered Aurangzeb.

Its difficult to say...There was politics involved..And every new group was looked at with suspicion..

Guru Nanak was born in a hindu family so obviously rulers of that time could have seen this as a conspiracy..

You are right brother, 99% Sikhs of today have Hindu or Muslim forefathers. Many Pakistanis might not know this but we have banis from Muslim sufi saints in our holy book - Guru Granth Sahib.
