Funny thing is that most of these islands are already under-water and when global warming starts all of them are going to be under water.


Though it is possible the Paracel islands could be made larger (it already has been extend into a full airfield)

China has extensive experience in making artificial islands. IE Yangshan deepsea port in Shanghai (the largest artificial port island in the world)

I don't really know how dumb you are but if India an unrecognised nuclear power, proliferates openly to Vietnam, and the Vietnam receives those weapon with the understood purpose of attacking China. China would by international law rightly be allowed to wipe Vietnam off the map and seek whatever military retribution it wish on India.

And considering that India's arsenal has never detonated a bomb (even a thermo-nuclear one) above 20kt, the same size as Nagasaki 60 years ago, There is no chance Vietnam can cripply China economically.

None of this would have happened if the Vietnamese hadn't deployed troops onto Spratly and Paracel and planted their flags there.
