During a speech in Madhya Pradesh, Bhagwat said that everyone born in this country is a Hindu, even Muslims are 'Hindus by nationality'.

In a remark likely to court controversy, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday said every person born in India is a Hindu.

"Everyone born in the country is a Hindu -- of these some are idol-worshipers and some are not. Even Muslims are Hindus by nationality, they are Muslims by faith only," he said in Baitul, Madhya Pradesh.

Bhagwat, who is in the state on an eight-day visit, went on to say, "Just as the English live in England, Americans in America and Germans in Germany, Hindus live in Hindustan."

'MUSLIMS BY FAITH, HINDUS BY NATIONALITY'

"It is no surprise if members of Rashtriya Muslim Manch do an 'aarti' of Bharat Mata because they are Hindus... They may have become Muslims by faith but they are Hindus by nationality," he added.

Bahgwat in his speech also called upon people to rise above caste, religion and language.

By definition any one living in India (Hindustan) is Hindu..so there shouldn't be issue in it.

You failed to give me any reference. So don't qoute me with your little corrupted mind which can't differentiate between a religion and a civilization.

Religion-: A Religion is an ideology which is imposed on human beings. You can't act or behave opposite . You have to live your life in a circle of this ideology.
Civilization -: Hinduism don't impose its ideology on human beings. Bcz it purely based on "Karma". It means you are free to act according to your circumstances. The Fruit of your karma is decided according to your act.
And if you are living in a society or in a civilized world then you to act according to society made rules and regulations which is man made . That's why an atheist, a spiritual human, a non religious , a religious (like Muslims) can be a Hindu. Its a deep subject but I make it little simple in simple words for you.
And i tell you If you are Pakistani and a Muslim then you must understand difference between Sharia law and a Democratic system.
Sharia Law-: Sharia law is an Islamic religious law.
Democratic system:- Democratic system is a society law which is preferred by Hinduism.
So Pakistan is running on a system right now as Democratic country which is relevant to Hinduism. And you should not get offended by this bcz you were also part of this civilization if your forfather's were not from Arab.

I agree with with you. Hinduism is geographical definition of anyone living in India or Hindustan. It's not a religion. If I am not wrong sanskara , omkara or vedik is the right word to describe the religion. There is a full lecture of Dr. Zakir Naik on this topic.
