Pakistan's hataf-IX missile (Nasr) - A game changer

You guys are harping about this so called "Tactical Nuke" Missile (Midget Nukes) since long, that if India will attack on pakistan in case of retaliation of any other Mumbai like terrorist attack on India, than we will use this Midget nuke on your Invading Armed forces, so, the current statement is about the Official policy, and that is "Use of Midget nuke (NASR) will lead to massive retaliation."

You must learn to comprehend what was said in my post.

When Pakistan is NOT intending to go for midget Nuke strik then why India is having dehli belly here over something that is NOT in the offing.

2. Indeed Pakistan had been focusing on developing such weapons keeping in view own security that is NOT a thing of the current day BUT the question is why Indians feeling so weak that they have selected this time period to distract public attention from Ladkah incident.

Agree with some part of your post. I don't think India would wait for pakistan to put nukes in Its cities before it retaliates. It is a possibility that we would hit first if a situation arises. As for chinese incursion I think our government is still looking into a possible diplomatic solution for this. Avoiding war is upmost priority but having said that it should not be taken as a weakness, we have confronted china before. Needless war will destroy a Nation, A war can make a nation strong as well depends which side you fight for.

Indeed avoiding war is the best policy and India is trying to have this policy by threatened Pakistan with NOT only a war but a Nuclear War

Seems like Indians are getting scared.... first humiliated by China, and now wetting their panties over Pakistan's nukes...
Where were we humiliated? If you know about the condition around LAC,China has set up camps in the disputed area where both countries used to patrol.India has its camps/bunkers set up a few kilometers away.

Strike by even a midget nuke will invite massive response, India warns Pak

NEW DELHI: India will retaliate massively even if Pakistan uses tactical nuclear weapons against it. With Pakistan developing "tactical" nuclear warheads, that is, miniaturizing its weapons to be carried on short-range missiles, India will protect its security interests by retaliating to a "smaller" tactical attack in exactly the same manner, as it would respond to a "big" strategic attack, said a report published in The Times of India.

Articulating Indian nuclear policy in this regard for the first time, Shyam Saran, convener of the National Security Advisory Board, said, "India will not be the first to use nuclear weapons, but if it is attacked with such weapons, it would engage in nuclear retaliation which will be massive and designed to inflict unacceptable damage on its adversary. The label on a nuclear weapon used for attacking India, strategic or tactical, is irrelevant from the Indian perspective." This is significant, because Saran was placing on record India's official nuclear posture with the full concurrence of the highest levels of nuclear policymakers in New Delhi.

Giving a speech on India's nuclear deterrent recently, Saran placed India's nuclear posture in perspective in the context of recent developments, notably the "jihadist edge" that Pakistan's nuclear weapons capability have acquired.

Saran argued that as a result of its tactical weapons, Pakistan believes it has brought down the threshold of nuclear use. "Pakistani motivation is to dissuade India from contemplating conventional punitive retaliation to sub-conventional but highly destructive and disruptive cross-border terrorist strikes such as the horrific 26/11 attack on Mumbai. What Pakistan is signalling to India and to the world is that India should not contemplate retaliation even if there is another Mumbai because Pakistan has lowered the threshold of nuclear use to the theatre level. This is nothing short of nuclear blackmail, no different from the irresponsible behaviour one witnesses in North Korea," he said.

One of the main reasons for Pakistan miniaturizing its nukes is actually to keep its weapons from being confiscated or neutralized by the US, a fear that has grown in the Pakistani establishment in the wake of the operation against Osama bin Laden. "Pakistan has, nevertheless, projected its nuclear deterrent as solely targeted at India and its strategic doctrine mimics the binary nuclear equation between the US and the Soviet Union which prevailed during the Cold War," Saran said.

However, warning Pakistan, he added, "A limited nuclear war is a contradiction in terms. Any nuclear exchange, once initiated, would swiftly and inexorably escalate to the strategic level. Pakistan would be prudent not to assume otherwise as it sometimes appears to do, most recently by developing and perhaps deploying theatre nuclear weapons."

There have been significant shifts in Pakistan's nuclear posture recently. First is the movement from uranium to a newer generation of plutonium weapons, which has enabled Pakistan to increase the number of weapons, outstripping India in weapons and fissile material production, although they are still to be verified. Pakistan has claimed it has miniaturized nuclear weapons to be used on cruise missiles and other short-range missiles. The newer generation of Pakistan's weapons is also solid-fuelled rather than liquid, making them easier to transport and launch.

Instead of issuing statements filled with bravado, our elected representatives should put their money where their mouth is. Unfortunately, the money still keeps going into their pockets.
What is the use of such statements? What exactly did our leaders do in the wake of 26/11? It has been 5 years - the NSG commandos still don't even have a permanent base in Bombay? Have they made ranges for cops to practice? Have they upgraded the guns? Have they provided bullet proof jackets which are actually bullet proof?

No country is going to war anytime soon. The days of nations going to war are fading. Protection of citizenry should not be based solely on a national level - the need now is to protect on a urban dwelling level. That's where the wars will be fought. It is extremely sad but other attacks like Bombay, New York, Boston, London and Madrid are inevitable. And no, in retaliation the Indian Govt. will not be able to use nukes. They have to come up with something else. I keep wondering, why don't the up the ante just once? Go after Dawood - go after Hafiz Saeed. We all want peace and as an Indian I understand that over 95% Pakistanis can't be blamed. But surely even the Pakistanis realize that these guys are killers and must be brought to book.

Even a midget nuke strike will lead to massive retaliation, India warns Pak - The Times of India

And there goes Pakistan Tactical Nuke jingoism out of the window...just like Operation Jibraltar escalated to a full scale war... just like Kargil resulted into a war...any tactical nuke adventurism from Pakistan would act as a start of Full scale Nuclear attack on Pakistan... that's the way it should be...a nuke is a nuke not matter tactical or strategic....

chalo chalo bharatio Chinion ko disturb na karo wo camping picnic pe aye hain. Chalo hum Pakistan pe hamla karnay walay hain chalo chalo rondustan chalo :P

Typical PAkistani... jab baat ka jawab nahi to ..China...Afghanista...Mars...Pluto... sab ghusa ke ek rant likh do..

Baat PAkistan ki ho rahi hai..aur inko China ki khishi ho rahi hai...

Anyways..whatever makes you happy...

rant aur typical bharati pan to ap aur ap k security people dekha rahay hain jab China ko ankhain nahi dekha sakay to apni janta ko bewakoof bananay k liye Pakistan pe hamlay ki dhamki day di.

the bottomline is after getting pI$$ED by China, now India is trying to divert public attention by coming up with threatening Pakistan a nuclear attack

No India should force them out, idk why you guys don't.

At first you wanna remain calm but after three meetings they don't leave it is time for action.

we are pissing them badly currently, we are using them as targets for sniper shots but our bad snipers they arent getting perfect shots. damn it

That is for Pakistani military planners to decide if to take this statement serious or not.
But such statements should be avoided as they are counter productive.
If that really is Indian doctorine.then its new to me as until recently all published versions said about step by step escelation of a nuclear conflict.
They may have changed doctorine then.

This has always been the doctrine. Any confusion on whether a battlefield nuke attack within Pakistani territory against Indian forces would trigger retaliation is what is sought to be clarified. Done so that no confusion on stated doctrine remains.

That's why first strike won't be a small nuke, but a massive strike!

.
India nai kaun sa tum logon pe nuke phaink mare hai... jaise tum log kehte ho ki hamare paas nuke hai...waise hi hum logon ne kaha hai...ki bhai hamare paas bhi hai...aur agar tum istemal karoge toh hum us se bada wala istemal kar sakte hai...

Jaise tum logon ke pet main Nuke ke marode utte hai... humne socha ki chalo thodi si hajmola ki goli khila de tum logon ko.

Matlab yeh ki India sirf janta jo bewakoof bana raha ha

In short a death wish. I am pretty sure nuke lauch get detected within e seconds of launch. Pakistan has to cover a big area and india has comparably smaller area. so Good luck with that

Not necessarily. If we Pakistan can detonate tens of nukes at the right places, destroying Indian government/military in a first strike, there won't be anyone left to fire back.
