EU, U.S. denounce Bangladesh election violence, irregularities

Hasina is able to strike a fine balance between China and India and that is her political expertise. Just because you Jamatis want to become a second Pakistan against India, doesn't mean that she is on our payroll.
Wait, BD people want Haseena to remain in power because without BAL in power for a few more years BD will face Indian opposition to induct a few dozen fighters, strengthen its army and navy. It is possible that BD will join hand with Pakistan at that point.

Pakistan will take over Kashmir and BD will take your NE that cannot survive even today without we giving all the facilities. Basically, military people in BD are very hardline anti-Indian. Hasina and India cannot tame them. Your BJP, the Hindu Jammatis, are very worried about a two-front war.

feel really sorry for poor and peaceful Bangladeshis who were even not allowed to vote which is their basic right:(

seems like Hasina is becoming Gazzafi, Mubarak, Saddam of Bangladesh, killing killing killings every where in Bangladesh.

@ The 30 December 2018 General Election in Bangladesh is not at all a election. It can be a said a 100 % managed election from top to bottom where what the poor innocent people can do ?

@ We used to read during our early age that "The patient has died before the arrival of doctor", similar like in Bangladesh before the voters came to the polling booth, 30/40 % vote casting was already completed. And finally it was shown that 80 to 85 % has been casted what a mockery ? Give me a break !!!

@ Once the voters came then the Govt has stopped the internet connection mobile or stopped the use of 3/4 G from 8 am upto 11 am. So the majority people could not cast their vote. In all most all centre the opposition candidates were not allowed to visit the polling booth.

The present voting system was introduced in this sub-continent in 1919 under the Govt of Indian Act of 1919. (Responsible Govt) But now, I think this very old age system is absolute at least in Bangladesh. We have to think in different way how to cast our voting right.

@ All these things are happening only due to the interference of India. As India knows if AL goes their "Devi" is gone. The election will never be free & fair in Bangladesh so long India interferes in the internal politics of Bangladesh.

You Jamaatis need to take it slow if you have comprehension issues.

Here,

Hasina wins Bangladesh elections as opposition rejects polls

Reported by a non-Indian news source. PM Modi called her after knowing that she won the elections. That is a standard protocol of countries which share good diplomatic relations.

Just because your lot are not ready to accept the election results, that is your problem.

Not India's.

Hasina is able to strike a fine balance between China and India and that is her political expertise. Just because you Jamatis want to become a second Pakistan against India, doesn't mean that she is on our payroll.
Excellent post. Totally agree with u except one thing. I think blue-sky is not a jamati and he is a nice guy who knows a lot about BD politics. Only problem is he's brainwashed. Hence, he can't see that only hasina and progressive AL can lead BD to economic prosperity.

He just needs time. Eventually he'll realise it.

Dada, the problem with these Jamaati variety is that they assume that India = Hindu = our enemy. That is the mindset that Pakistanis have. India's problem is the traffickers and the radical types which create problems at both your and our borders. Nothing else.

Why would we have helped Bangladesh gain independence if we did not like Bangladeshi people in the first go? Given our constitution and Indira Gandhi's socialist attitude (she was quite phobic to Hindu and Buddhist cultures), we could have requested Bangabandhu to merge Bangladesh with India in the beginning itself. And yet, here you are today; a vibrant and stable nation, headed towards growth in a peaceful and independent manner.

You have excellent ties with everyone, ranging from US to Russia to China. People don't see you as a terrorist threat but instead a balanced developing nation which is slowly resolving its internal problems. Your economy is far, far better than Pakistan with investments coming in.

Jamaati lot cannot actually handle that. They feel that your growth and your political stability is 'Indian controlled'. BAL has good relations with India because we share a lot of common problems and history, compared to Jamaatis who are just representatives of Pakistan remaining in your country. Remember who went crazy after your court sentenced to death the bloody war-criminals of their crimes against innocent civilians after 1971.

Your assertion about Jamatis in general is correct but you clearly do not follow @bluesky to know that he is not anything close to a Jamati.

You are too blindsighted by Hasina's victory to acknowledge the clearly evident reality that the election was rigged.

Most Bangladeshis criticising the election (including myself) are not necessarily opposed to BAL running the country.
You need to understand that this election sets a very dangerous precedence and that the tables may get turned against BAL in the future.

@Nilgiri : You need to be consistent and call out your compatriots when they are driven by "feelz".

I am all for your right to decide for your government and your public opinion. What bothers me is the open allegation that BAL is controlled by us. While it was true during Indira era to some extent, we definitely have no interest in controlling Bangladesh; the only concern is that something hostile to our national security shouldn't use your soil to target us. That's all.

First of all, let me make it clear that Bangladeshis in general are against the use of our territory for terrorist activities against India.
@bluesky was being hyperbolic and sarcastic above.

The overwhelming majority of Bangladeshis on this forum do not support the notion that BAL is "controlled" by India.
While BAL has been soft on a number of bilateral issues, overall we have gained more diplomatically out of India during BAL terms. Ganga Water Sharing Treaty, ITLOS Maritime Boundary ruling, swap of enclaves, etc. are good examples.

As I said, we are not against a duly elected BAL government.

I have a real concern for democracy and fair election that did not happen this time. Another five years of Haseena queenship will not turn BD into a developed Germany. Do you realize it?

I find its best to leave Tshering to be (in general), his opinions are quite bold flavoured (but he will take yours on board if you present your POV well)....he is very unique guy...as all those from the mountains generally are.

Yes all of us are driven by feelz to some extent. I generally point out the Indian ones in other subforums. Here it should be about Bangladesh I feel.

Dada, the problem

You might want to enquire about that kiddo's age before you go calling him Dada. :)

Bud, I told them this many times when I first started out here....there were lot more jamatis back then here pushing the "BAL controlled by India" agenda so I naturally used that assertion to defeat them further down the logic chain (and also bunch of BAL-jingos)....but the words still echoing here and always will....you and I cannot do much to convince, ppl already made up their minds largely on it.

This guy, @Neptune seems below eighteen and is a part of BCL propaganda machine. But, to @Tshering22 he is a big Dada from Hasina's Bangladesh.

For F's sake whoever that Bangladeshi guy most people are trying to mention is, just mention his exact username, or find something else as a username that doesn't bother me once in every week @Neptune_ != @Neptune
