On a more serious note - the EU wants to Ban flights in order to 'tighten up' security at our airport in Dhaka.

What this means is that Bangladesh Civil Aviation will ultimately go begging to EU to remove the ban, then EU will offer 'protection' by using a 'security audit' and 'measures' through one of their 'favored' security contractors (aka European spy agency whether MI5, MI6 etc.) at a fee several times the norm. EU will milk some money from us and gain valuable intelligence to pass on (which they need for future subversion plans just in case) and then re-admit transit after the fact. Case closed.

They can do this to us because our ministers are uneducated, stupid and most of all weak and corrupt. They cannot do this to India or China. Nor will they try.

You see how we get screwed? The Raj era isn't over.

You are not making much sense, do you think India is concerned about cargo embargoes from EU to Bangladesh to sell chaddis and knickers and will expend it's diplomatic influence to get a ban implemented.

I suppose that indoctrination and religious influence of the extreme kind rids the whole lot of you from thinking through and analyse the core reason for the ban.

Garment exports will remain unaffected. It does not make economic sense for garments to be sent via air cargo, it is always sent via sea. what it will impact is food export.

Forecasts, according the database, were for the market to rise to 13,900 tonnes for 2017, 14,600 tonnes for 2018 and 15,300 tonnes for 2019.

Now post how many tonnes are moved by ship from BD to its markets.

Lets put dollar values on both too if you are going to make some argument about premium.

Then make the argument that such air cargo is not simply re-routed using a 2nd country in between that is not banned by EU.

Its implication/motive could very well be far worse than AWAMYs not wanting increase of export, IMO. Having observed EU, Westerner's frequent meeting with BNP walas, Chief justice's anti- AWAMY's statements, GOI/RAW/South Blocker's promptness in forcing Hasina in signing 22 treaties, Indian COAS's abrupt visits in BD's cantonments; I tend to believe AWAMY's utilities have expired to their masters. And it would require many pages to describe but in short, RAW/South Blockers know BD is being pushed at least 50 yrs back by Geo-Politico-Religio-Economically through the usage of AWAMYs and disaster is looming faster but Hasina would do everything to court Chinese to cling on power as that is the only viable scenario but detrimental for Indian hegemony. So for Indians, it's time for her to go like they hadn't thwarted SK Mujib's assassins after his Lahore's visit.

Why do we have to? This means playing right into their hands. They can try this with BD because it is still a weaker economy. They wouldn't even dare to try this with the bigger economies like China, India or even KSA. This is bullying. We shouldn't be allowing this.
