Let's face it: Turkey wants to go its own ways on all matters, from defence to foreign policy. But it can't do it as member of NATO, which forces certain obligations on its members. I think Turkey will eventually leave NATO, just not today, but in a decade or so.

Turkey should not leave NATO. Pulling out the 40 troops as a protest for the issue was enough to make a point. Turkey can still get a lot more benefits from being a NATO member.
