Things have finally come to a crossroads in Pakistan with our relationship with KSA. Up until now, we could count on KSA in our time of need without strings attached.

Pakistan also reciprocated help in military and security training and cooperation with KSA.

Several things have been done by KSA recently which have damaged Pakistan directly: abstaining in FATF, normalizing Indian fascists and ignoring Kashmir, and now this blackmail using deposit of USD in Pakistan's banks and expat labor force.

KSA is so worried about keeping Pakistan away from this alliance with Turkey and Malaysia that they are actually pushing us towards them.

Many people have been used to insulting, taking for granted, and belittling the Pakistani nation after 1971, but we are a changed people now who are battle-hardened from the WOT and able to withstand the dictates of Washington.

This is the last time KSA will blackmail Pakistan, now all our energies will be focused on reducing our dependence from KSA, UAE, and other traitors.

This means much stronger ties with China and also Malaysia, Turkey. We will extradite ourselves from this situation.

Don't ever count out the Pakistani nation, the only nation founded on Islam, that nation blessed by the duas of our ancestors and our elders, the successor of ghazis (Muslim conquerors) and sultans (Muslim emperors.)

We have only now started to fight.
Is this just rhetoric? What can Pakistan do in the face of blackmail from the occupiers of the Hejaz?

The Saudi embassy in Islamabad on Saturday denied "information and fake news" broadcast by some media outlets that Saudi Arabia "pressurised and threatened" Pakistan to refrain from participating in the Kuala Lampur Summit.

The statement comes a day after Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying Pakistan had decided to stay away from the recently concluded summit because of Saudi Arabia's threats of economic sanctions.

A press release issued by the Saudi embassy stated: "The embassy affirms that the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Islamic Republic of Pakistan are superior to the language of threat.

"The brotherly relations between the countries are long-standing and strategic based on trust, understanding and mutual respect, and the two countries enjoy a consensus of views on most regional and international issues, especially the issues of the Islamic nation."

The statement added that Saudi Arabia has always with Pakistan in Pakistan during difficult times "based on fraternal relations".

"We strive always to stand with Pakistan to be a successful and stable country," the embassy added.

The meeting in Kuala Lampur was shunned by Saudi Arabia and criticised for allegedly undermining the bigger Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Some analysts also suspected that Saudi Arabia's reluctance to attend stemmed from fear of being diplomatically isolated by regional rivals Iran, Qatar and Turkey, all of whom were attending the summit.

Saudi state news agency SPA also reported that on a call with Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammad, Saudi King Salman reaffirmed that such issues should be discussed through the OIC.

According to Daily Sabah, Erdogan, while speaking to Turkish media representatives, said that it was not the first time that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had put pressure on a country for doing or not doing certain things.

“Unfortunately, we see that Saudi Arabia pressures Pakistan. Now, there are promises that the country has given to Pakistan regarding the central bank. However, more than that, there are four million Pakistanis working in Saudi Arabia. They [threaten by saying that they] would send [Pakistanis] back and re-employ Bangladeshis instead,” Erdogan was quoted as saying. He added that the kingdom has also threatened to withdraw money it had deposited in the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to Erdogan, Pakistan had to comply with the Saudi wishes "due to its economic difficulties".

While not directly addressing the Turkish president's statement, the Foreign Office in response to questions from the media said that Pakistan did not participate in the Kuala Lumpur summit because "time and efforts were needed to address the concerns of major Muslim countries regarding possible division in the Ummah".

"Pakistan will continue to work for the unity and solidarity of the Ummah, which is indispensable for effectively addressing the challenges faced by the Muslim world," the FO spokesperson said in a brief statement.

'No representation from Pakistan at summit'
Pakistan was one of the first countries with which Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir had shared his plans for holding the summit when he met Prime Minister Imran along with Erdogan on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York in September.

Later, Imran Khan formally conveyed his acceptance of the invitation for attending the summit when Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia Marzuki Bin Haji Yahya called on him in Islamabad on November 29.

Last week, however, reports of Prime Minister Imran cancelling his trip to Malaysia started making rounds. After his visit to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, the premier decided to stay away from the Kuala Lumpur summit. According to reports, he withdrew due to pressure exerted by the kingdom, which had extended a helping hand to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government during its early days to stave off an economic crisis.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had on Tuesday confirmed that there would be no representation from Pakistan at the summit of some 20 Muslim countries, which started in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Qureshi confirmed that Saudi Arabia and the UAE had concerns about the summit, saying the two countries were worried that the event could cause “division in Ummah” and lead to setting up of an organisation parallel to the existing Saudi-dominated OIC.

In view of the reservations about the summit, Qureshi said, it was decided that Pakistan would seek to bridge the gap between Riyadh and Kuala Lumpur and if that did not work there would be no participation in the summit.

Prime Minister Imran’s trip to the kingdom was aimed at bringing Saudi Arabia and Malaysia closer and not for getting permission to attend the summit, the minister said at the time.

Is this just rhetoric? What can Pakistan do in the face of blackmail from the occupiers of the Hejaz?

I don't think that it is a matter of blackmail, but of understanding. Pakistan had communicated to KSA earlier, when they asked for help in Yemen crisis, that in a conflict between two major Muslim nations, Pakistan would stay neutral and cannot afford to take sides. Now, in this case, KSA invoked the same understanding and Pakistan had to bow down.

Very well said.

History is the witness, while the house of Saud was busy in bed with Europeans, Turks were defending the land of Hijaz with their blood. ----
The house of Saud would never want unity in the Muslim world (their masters don't allow them), Turkey has started challenging them in the region and looking towards unity -- Turkey is asking the Muslims to rise and live with honor, Sauds, Emirati rulers want us to be slaves for ever.

The pathetic acts of our ruling elite never surprises me, I make Duas to ALLAH swt to remove the curse of this present ruling system from us Pakistanis, Ameen.

What's your proposal?

Than who's the harami, who spread the false rumors and astray the children of pdf.
As if the Sauds will admit that they pressurized us.

. .
Read the news especially the bold parts. Our FM Qureshi has subtly confirmed that there were indeed 'some concerns' by Arabs.
Than contact your FM to issue statement on fresh DAWN leaks.

. .
If Pakistan (IK) wanted to be neutral between Saudi Arabia OIC and this new potential Islamic block then why did IK at the beginning push this agenda? Why did he and FM Qureshi had to pull out of the meeting? This shows Pakistan had to change its mind after receiving a big stick from somebody.

To me this looks very bad on Pakistan and IK part. That Pakistan cannot be trusted.
Imran Khan should have told AlSaud this block will not be anti Saudi and we would never let that happen, we have a bloody General as head of Saudi Islamic Alliance, what more boot licking we need to do, Absolute shameful.

If this was Nawaz Shareef or Zardari all the Pakistanis would be bashing them for being sell outs and cowards.

Another blow to Pak foreign policy. Creating balanced foreign policy is the name of the game. But Pakistan is victim of Saudi-Turkish regional rivalry. what Erdogan said in his tweet about Pakistan, no one has challenged. So, Pakistan been blackmailed. GCC is now turning into liability.

As far as I saw, there are large number of PDF members who are upset about IK's recent decision change regarding the KL-19 summit.

I translated for you the answer to the question asked about this issue, in the interview which gave to journalists on the return from the Summit.

The whole interview is here: https://www.aydinlik.com.tr/erdogan-bizim-de-yaptirimlarimiz-olacak-turkiye-aralik-2019
(Sorry, only Turkish)

QUESTION: How do you evaluate the absence of Pakistan and Indonesia from the Kuala Lumpur Summit, as a result of pressure from KSA ?

RTE: Such attitudes of the royal administrations of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are not seen for the first time, many examples. Unfortunately, we see that Saudi Arabia is putting pressure on Pakistan's will, again. Now, they have some promises to Pakistan regarding the Central Bank. (Probably what IK explained to RTE) But above all, 4 million Pakistanis work in Saudi Arabia. These people also take care of their families in Pakistan.

After this situation ( triple mechanism) they made threats our counterparts like “we send them back, we take Bangladeshi instead.”

On the other hand, in related to the KL-2019 summit; They also threatened Pakistan on economic sanction issues related to the Central Bank, such as ‘So we withdraw our money”.

As result of all of these, Pakistan, which is in serious economic difficulties, had to adopt a different attitude at this point.

In other words, praise be to Allah, they cannot come to our near with this style. It's all about posture. When there is a stance, the doors are opened with the grace of Allah. I hope that one day our brothers will realize this.
If Saudi wants to take back the leadership of muslim world , then they should openly support Pakistan on Kashmir and condemn the atrocities against Kashmiri and muslims in India. But, unfortunately they sign 70 billion dollar treaty with India. Turkey and Malaysia is now two emerging leaders of Muslim world.
Also , Pakistan hasn't attend the conference but thanks to members of summit who support the muslims of Kashmir and muslims of India.

. .
World is based on self interests or mutual interests. They wouldn’t just give on a “brother” basis, nope.
Thats the point I am trying to make. Arabs are no brothers to anyone. It's all lies, and they behave more like enemies than brother.

.
That's news to me, since when does KSA have the leadership role?
70 and 80 they had good influence on muslim countries due to there passive foreign policy. Now they are more on Pan-Arabianism then reaching out muslim nations. They are using oil and holy places as foreign policy weapon.Anyway, they have right to protect there national interest. But Pakistan was not expecting such abrupt attack on its foreign policy from Saudi and UAE.

People need to see Lawrence of Arabia one more time. Unfortunately , they are influencing Pakistan foreign policy so much that Pakistan can not import gas / oil from next door neighbor to meet its local demand.
