no way thar power plant will be online by 2017.... but what you missed is Chashnupp 3 and chashnupp 4 which will be online but are not PML-N projects

That younger fool predicted to abolish the load shedding in just six months in election campaign. After gaining power the eldest fool say it was a 'JOSH-E-KHITABAT'. Now in same JOSH it goes to 2017.
In my opinion Pakistanis should consider the load-shedding free era it to be at least 2027.
Now-a-days if you want your life to be load-shedding free; then consider to live in State of Raiwind.

i honestly believe that load shedding menace will be gone by 2019/20 max... having said that the worst will be over by 2017... the only way we can ensure end to this menace by 2017 is by building IP gas line and converting IPP on gas or on Local or local+imported coal... Fiscal deficit will never go till we have none IPPs on furnace oil.

1320mw Tarbela extension IV by end of 2017, and Sahiwal is also two power plants so total 1320mw. I am pretty sure i am missing few yet.

But will this be enough? Demand will keep increasing and Pakistan need to pass out electricity generated by oil.

add Gadani 6600 MW and Dasu 4350 and there are more projects which will be completed in 2020+

These two are little long terms. Dasu for exemple only Phase-I 2160mw can be build before Bhasha dam. Which mean without Bhasha dam Dasu will only generate 2160mw.

So the construction on Phase-1 have started and will be completed by 2019 but Phase-II depend on Bhasha dam. I don't know how many power plants will be build in Gadani by 2017.

at Gadani 6 will be made by China 2 by Turkey and 2 by U.A.E and read somwhere that Basha Dam will be delayed by 2037
