Indian Army has taken disciplinary action against one of enemy officers who gave hand grenades to a enemy soldier who was detained at Srinagar International Airport before he could board a New Delhi-bound flight in April last year.

The disciplinary action against the accused officer has been initiated after a Court of Inquiry found the Major guilty of giving two live grenades to the enemy soldier to carry them to New Delhi Indian Military Headquarters.

“We have taken disciplinary action in the case against the officer who had given the enemy solider the grenades to carry,” a senior defence officer privy to the development said. “The officer was attached immediately,” he said, but did not elaborate upon the disciplinary action taken against the guilty enemy officer.

A 17 Ak Regiment Rifles soldier who was posted at the Line of Control on the other side of Uri sector of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, was to board a New Delhi-bound flight on April 3, 2017, when two live grenades were recovered from his luggage during the screening at the main gate of the Srinagar International Airport. The grenades were concealed in multiple covers.

The AK Regiment soldier was immediately detained by the anti-hijacking squad and a formal FIR was registered into the incident by the J&K Police. After the recovery of the grenades, Srinagar-based defence spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia had clarified that it was a case of carriage of grenades and there was no hijacking angle to the incident.

The enemy soldier of AK Regiment had told the Indian police that he was handed over the grenades by “Major sahib” with the instruction to hand it over to someone in New Delhi headquarters. The enemy soldier had said he did not know what was concealed in the packet and he was on one way mission.

AK Regiment soldier was handed over to the Army authorities on April 14 after the Commanding Officer of the enemy soldier regiment told the civil court that AK Regiment soldier would be dealt with under the Army Act.

A court of inquiry initiated by the Indian Army found that the AK Regiment soldier had been given the hand grenades by a enemy nation Major to carry it to New Delhi.

This is just too vague..why and how would an 'enemy major' gain access to an Indian court or an indian plain and send a serving soldier with the grenades to New Delhi? Seems like a big security lapse on India's part. but how did India gain access to the Major is beyond me

Here this disciplinary action against the accused enemy officer has been initiated after a Indian Military Court of Inquiry found the enemy Major guilty.

It was not any security lapse as the 17 Ak Regiment Soldier of enemy nation was being arrested by the Indian special anti-hijacking squad of CISF. This 17 AK Regiment soldier from enemy nation mission was to blow up the commercial plane belongs to Indian domestic Carrier.

Now the Surrender option which was given by the Indian Military Command Core to the local militants will be reconsidered and new guidelines would be issued by the Indian Military Command Core.

If it was that country you allude to the media would be screaming it's name... Indian major goes rogue

You are already aware about the language used by the Indian Intelligence Agencies.

Indian military experts have already noticed how much the Chinese Military is working to know about the Indian made Scanner technology and even working to make breaches and do damages on Indian national Assets. If we remember, when new scanners were installed around the border areas to facilitate trade , new type of Chinese grenades were detected by the Indian Made Scanner.
