Huh? The Embraer EMB-145 is Brazilian aircraft, made in Brazil, by Brazilians, except for some 'eye-in-the-sky systems which are made in India. So how are we in the so called exclusive club owning 'home-grown' AWACS?

We should have built our own aircrafts instead of using foreign aircrafts for the purpose.

Orian Hunter, I agree with you, We should make the platform as well. But the question is, When??? From my view, not now... Hope you remember Indian AWACS was down and we lost many scientists on board. Do you want the same to happen again???

Lets go step by step, We first Master AWACS/AWE&CS later we will focus on platform. and more ever why should we concerned over platform?? We can use Antanov,Boeing,Airbus or any other platform....

@Why the test was done in Brasil?: The Platform is brasilian, Our scientist must make sure that it should run in safe environment. Our focus is to test our AWACS, not Platform. Let the platform Engineers near by so that they can solve the immediate glitch. Remember the platform design too changed .

Only the platform was tested, the integration and testing after final integration will happen in India once it arrives.
