Guys I have come across some very clever scams where they will put in advertisements in leading dailies, offer you jobs in 5 star hotels abroad, take your interview, tell you that you are selected, offer you unbelievable salary packages and perks..and then extort money from you on pretext of Visa or work permit or paper work or some crap

we are used to getting these fake emails from Nigeria a lot . i think i must have received at least 8-10 in the past 6 yrs . all claiming they have money or i won something and need my bank acc info or some sort of fee payment for me to collect it .

I got a e-mail from Yahoo, trying to prove it was not a spam and that my ID was chosen for it's highly visited domain. They had link to something like gifts.yahoo.com and I won $50,000.

Might be true, who knows, never checked anything more.
