It's militia asaib ahl al haq, they landed at Suleymaniyah airport to bring the volunteer forces to the town of Amirli who's citizens have held of against IS for 50 days on their own.

Some Arab media regard them as Iranians therefor the title, they're Iraqis trained by IRGC.

Massoud Barzani thanks Iran for backing Iraqi Kurds

he president of Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region has praised Iran for supporting Iraqi Kurds under the current tough circumstances as IS extremists are wreaking havoc on the country.

In a letter to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani published by local media on Sunday, Massoud Barzani thanked the Islamic Republic for throwing its weight behind Iraqi Kurds in the face of the ongoing crisis fueled by the IS terrorists, Press TV said.

The Kurdish leader further said friendly relations and mutual Tehran-Erbil cooperation will definitely consolidate peaceful co-existence between neighboring Iranian and Kurdish people.

Kurdish media reports say Tehran has dispatched shipments of humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, to Iraq’s Kurdistan region since the ISIL militants began their terrorist operations in the northern parts of the Arab country in early June.

Barzani’s comments come as Kurdish Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi troops continue to clash with the IS militants in northern Iraq.

Kurdish officials said Peshmerga forces had recently managed to drive the IS militants out of the towns of Guwair and Makhmur in Iraq’s northern province of Nineveh.

Some Kurdish media have underscored the significant role of Iranian forces and the Iraqi army in liberating the areas from the IS’s grip. The media reports say Iranian forces have a decisive presence on the battlefield of the fight against jihadist militants

Add that Iran pressured Barzani to not allow Kurdish Peshmerga's from Iran to participate in the battles anymore so they have withdrawn to their camps.

But the Kurds of Iran are not silent. The Kurdish flag was raised on the Babuş Mountain near the city of Baneh in Eastern Kurdistan(Iran).

People have also started collecting money for them.

Hawjin from Ciwanro in Eastern Kurdistan says I have no money but I'm donating my earrings to the people of Şingal.
