Using EVMs is always a bad idea - the EVMs can be rigged at the factory itself, by installing code with appropriate trap-doors.
Well that factory is ECIL (Electronic Corporation of India). I don't think a Govt. Enterprise has any incentive to do that. If that was the case the results in Tamil Nadu would have favored the DMK-Cong alliance. Results in elections that used EVMs have proven to be a true reflection of the situations surrounding the elections. Eg: Bihar(Nitish Kumar won a second term) , Gujarat , Assam(Cong won 3 times in a row) and Tamil Nadu(DMK was ousted).
