Secondly and more important, he came to Pakistan at the age of 23, and then did LLB from Karachi University (I am guessing 3 years?). So he is around 26 by that time. Pak Army does not take people more than 22 I believe. So he was atleast 4 years above age limit. Or were the age restrictions different back then?

In short, seems like a concocted story with quite a few loopholes.

What makes you think that he was reporting his actual age ??
He must have faked it to get admission.

Major General Naseerullah Babar, Sitara-i-Jurat (Bar), first achieved national acclaim during the war with India in September, 1965. On an operational mission in Kashmir, he landed his helicopter in a fortified position, which turned out to be an Indian camp 70 soldiers strong. Rather than being intimidated, his steel nerves turned the tables on the adversary. Told that they were surrounded, the contingent meekly raised their arms, handed over their weapons and surrendered.

In his long career in the Army, Babar served in the Artillery Corps and Aviation. During the 1965 war with India, Babar single handedly captured an entire Indian company of soldiers (over 70 POWs) and was awarded Sitara-e-Jurat for this action.
In the 1971 war, he commanded an artillery brigade in support of 23 Division and later commanded an infantry brigade until he was wounded and evacuated from the battlefield. He also had the distinction of having been awarded SJ & Bar. In 1972, he was appointed Inspector General Frontier Corps. He resigned from the Army in 1974 while commanding an infantry division and was appointed Governor of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Naib Subedar Bana Singh, born in Kadyal, Jammu on 6 January 1949, was enrolled in the Indian Army on 6 January 1969 into the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). During June 1987, the 8 JAK LI, was deployed in the Siachen area. It was then found that a large number of Pakistani infiltrators had intruded in the Siachen Glacier. The ejection of these infiltrators was considered difficult but necessary and a special task force was, constituted for the purpose. Naib Subedar Singh volunteered to join this force.

The Pakistani intrusion had taken place at a height of 6500 metres. The enemy post was virtually an impregnable glacier fortress with ice walls, 457 metres high, on either side. Naib Subedar Bana Singh led his men through an extremely difficult and hazardous route. He inspired them by his courage and leadership. He and his men crawled and closed in on the adversary. Lobbing hand-grenades, charging with a bayonet and moving from trench to trench, he cleared the post of all intruders. Naib Subedar Bana Singh was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest wartime gallantry medal, for conspicuous bravery and leadership under most adverse conditions
